Combining tactical strategy and first-person shooter gameplay, Sierra's best-selling SWAT series makes its console debut with Global Strike Team. Set in the year 2020, the game involves planning and then carrying out a series of missions set across the world. Since the team was formed to protect the innocent, many objectives will consist of finding and rescuing hostages from a variety of terrorist organizations. A new engine was created specifically for the game, offering realistic shadows and a film-like appearance through the use of special filters.
