Abstract

MLB PENNANT RACE offers players a choice between an Arcade mode that allows players to throw pitches that are unhindered by the laws of physics, or Sim mode, where everything is more realistic. Players can choose from modes like Quick Play, Season, Playoffs, and Home Run Derby, or you can take on a friend in Versus mode for some intense head-to-head action.

The makers of NFL GameDay tackle the diamond with MLB Pennant Race, Sony's first baseball game for PlayStation. Choose from 28 Major League teams and take a swing at five play modes: Exhibition, Season, World Series, Playoffs, and Home Run Derby. Over 700 real players are included with statistics and ratings based on the 1995 season. Key features include commentary from broadcaster Jerry Coleman, three difficulty settings, and stat tracking for 16 categories on offense and defense. Management options include trades, free agents, custom players, and multiple defensive formations.
