There are some shooting scenes, which involve using the control pad to aim your weapon over a 3x3 grid, but most of the action consists of selecting from lists of text based menu options.

It's the year 2047 in Neo Kobe City, Japan and mysterious beings have arrived. They are Bio-roid beings and you don't know at first if they are aliens or invaders from another country. These beings become known as the Snatchers because they kill their victims and then take their places in the real world. A new elite police squad is formed to catch the Snatchers also known as J.U.N.K.E.R.S. You are Gillian Seed, a new J.U.N.K.E.R.S. recruit who is out to get the Snatchers. You have been trained by the Special Forces; armed with high-tech weapons and an android sidekick named Metal Gear. You're in the midst of an enthralling mystery with beautiful women, a sterile landscape, and fierce enemies.
