Viewed from an overhead perspective, Armada II features classic shooting elements and continues the storyline from the original Armada. The Armada are back for another attempt to conquer the galaxy as are the same six playable races found in the first Armada game that appeared on the Dreamcast. Players choose to play as one of the races and then wage war against the alien invaders. Online play, which was not featured in the first Armada, is at the forefront of this title. By going online players will be able to hook up with others for cooperative multi-player action. Another bonus to online play is that the more than one million unique items to be found in the game can be traded between players.
