Full descriptionThe industry's most famous female bounty hunter returns for another intergalactic adventure, her first on Wii. The indomitable Samus Aran must battle her not-so-better half, Dark Samus, to save the Galactic Federation from imminent destruction. As in the two previous Metroid Prime games on GameCube, the action unfolds from a first-person viewpoint as players blast an assortment of vile aliens and Space Pirates with her multifunctional arm cannon. Samus is not alone in her battles, however, as a number of hunters will make an appearance to either help or hinder her progress.
For its Wii debut, Metroid Prime features a motion-sensitive control scheme that involves guiding Samus with the Nunchuk controller and aiming with the Wii Remote. Familiar gadgets and acrobatic techniques take on a new feel thanks to the Wii's distinctive control scheme. Players, for example, can simply extend and pull back their arm to open air locks, grab objects, and more. Samus can once again acquire visor enhancements and beam weapons to add to her arsenal, and for the first time in the series, the bounty hunter will be able to fly her ship during certain parts of the game.
