Good graphics, lots of blood and gore. Limbs are chopped off with ease. The combat would be satisfying if not for the AWFUL camera. The camera is always at the wrong angle and half the time you are getting killed from a distance by stuff you cannot see. The boss battles are VERY tough, I could not get past the 2nd boss after about 20 attempts. You have to be patient and take the time to learn the combos (and there are a TON). If you can do that, you stand a chance at enjoying this game. If not, you will throw your controller at the TV frequently. |

NG1 was better, Difficulty was pretty rough on this one and dealing with a worse camera than NG1, makes this a tough game. I played through about half the game and got bored and sick of dying, Lots of blood and gore, action packed. Just not my type of game anymore. |

A major step down from the first Ninja Gaiden, which is kind of strange since it's so similar. The great graphics and awful voice acting are still here, but the difficulty level is seriously off. Even though the first game was hard, it was never cheap. This one is. It's filled with bosses that are impossible to beat on your first try, regardless of skill. Even the standard enemies towards the end of the game force you to use cheap tactics yourself. You're better off with the first one. |

The graphics are OK. The newer 360 games are much better. Lots of blood and gore. The camera is frustrating as it tends to not stay in one place in the middle of fight sequences. TAKE TIME TO LEARN THE COMBOS. If you are a button masher (like me) you will have certain trouble with some enemys. The levels are fairly easy to get through, but the bosses are very, very hard. |

Game is awesome. Love how its very bloody and you chop limbs off and such. Sometimes the camera angles suck but so worth it. Amazing game wish I would have learned about it sooner. |

This is a game for those who when they die in games they don't get mad they get even. Because it will take persistence to advance past the higher difficulties. Controllers may be thrown, walls may be punched.
The biggest weaknesses of the game is that the camera is worse than it was in NG1 leading to lots of cheap deaths (i.e. rockets hitting you from off camera.) Oh the cheap deaths you will encounter! The action is fast pace and the combat is rewarding once you learn the nuances however. |

Very pretty, but sometimes that game throws more enemies at you than the engine can handle, making things slow down until you get rid of enough of them.
Gameplay is very smooth, however, Ninja Gaiden is the crowned prince of bullcrap attacks. It's still fun, but you might want to use an older controller when the exploding shurikens start getting hurled in case you snap it in half. |
