My name is J.C., or Big Unit as I'm known by my stage name. I'm a guitarist/singer for a metal band in Northwest Iowa. I'm also a huge hardcore gamer. My favorite games are action, first person shooters, and role-playing games. I'm 31, so I've been playing since the Atari age, and have had lots of favorites over the years.

I am no expert, but I have advanced ability in guitar playing, and no, not the Guitar Hero or Rock Band kind! I actually suck pretty bad at those games. Too tempted to play the song as it actually is instead of redredredbluebluegreenyelloworange. It messes me up all the time! I have been involved in bands since high school, and have released 4 full-length cds of original music thru the years. Music is pretty much my life next to my kids and my wife.

I'm also a psycho die hard fan of the Oakland Raiders, and the NFL in general. Not a crazy fan of football games though. go figure. I have a few that are favorites of mine, but not a big sports game fan. Anyway, my wife & I usually go to at least one Raiders game each season, I have a Raiders tattoo, jerseys, clothing, accessories, etc. We even have Raiders curtains in our living room. it's pretty crazy.

I'm also a crazy gamer. In fact, everyone in my house loves to game. I drop a lot of money on games each year, which is why I'm so glad I found this site! I have several on the shelves of my house just gathering dust.

Lastly, I'm quite the movie buff. If you can name it, chances are I've seen it, unless it's some underground Japanese release never released in the U.S.

I'm pretty versed in sandbox style adventure/RPG games, action games, first person shooters. I've owned Atari 2600, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Nintendo Wii Playstation One, PS2 and last October bought the PS3. I have never owned an Xbox, not out of spite or loyalty, just was put off by "the red ring of death" when I made the decision to purchase my first Next Gen console. I may still buy the Xbox 360 in the future now that the problems with overheating have been addressed, but haven't made the purchase yet. I've also had many computers thru the years, although the only games I've ever really been fond of in PC format are Real-Time Strategy games, and more recently Spore Creature Creator.

My favorite games of all time are Contra, Bionic Commando, Doom, Goldeneye, Resident Evil, NFL Quarterback Club 1998, World of Warcraft II, Star Trek Armada, Duke Nukem 3D, Madden 2007 Hall of Fame Edition, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, God Of War, the entire Ratchet & Clank series, Baulder's Gate and Baulder's Gate II, Champions of Norrath 1 & 2, Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion (GOTY edition) and Grand Theft Auto 4.

I unfortunately live in a farm house in the country of Iowa, and have no access to high speed internet (unless I wanna drop $500 on satellite internet) so I haven't had the joy of experiencing online gaming yet.

I'd say the style I listen to most would be metal, but I like rock, blues, jazz, big band, classical, funk, alternative, a little rap, a little disco, maybe even a select amount of pop. about the only music I can't get into is country or polka.
