I got rid of a lot of my Mac games when I got my Macbook Pro and installed XP on BootCamp.  Thing is, I prefer OS X so now I'm rebuilding my collection ;)

What about you?  Are you gaming on an Intel system where you have a choice or a PPC?

Best of Both Worlds.........

I just got a Macbook last week so I work with the team on that, barely run any games on it. My Desktop is a 5 yr old Alienware that can still run WoW and DoD HL- mod at max capacity which is damn nice. I am spoiled in the sense that I have the best of both worlds, windows for gaming and now bomb OS X for work. Since Im new to this Mac life, any Mac exclusive games that I need to try? I don't know of exclusives, doubt there are any.

I can tell you that anything by Blizzard is badass and runs on Macs, and try Myth from Bungie, its an oldschool game, but awesome.

No big exclusives anymore that I know of.  I do know that Jeff Vogel of Spiderweb Software releases his Mac versions  first (indie RPG dev).

I've had Macs since ... well, since my Apple ][+ which I bought new ... took a break in the mid-late 90's, but am back as fully multi-platform once again.

As of now I play Sauerbraten(aka Cube 2), Open Arena, and Nexuiz. Freeware at it's finest!

Good games... and great examples of the strengths of open source.

I don't have a mac, but I can relate because I greatly prefer Linux (specifically Gnome) interface over Windows.  Personally, I dual boot.

A great option is to check out Linux Open-source (also some not open-source, but free) games.  If there aren't precompiled packages for Mac (there usually are), there is always the possiblility of getting the source and compiling them yourself.

A selection of free games I enjoy:

Also:  Exult (updated graphics engine for Ultima 7, but requires the original game to play)

All of the above games have pre-compiled mac packages.  And that's just the free ones Wink (some of them).

Enjoy!
