I had to leave my first negative yesterday, and I'm not entirely sure what to do next. This is what it says on the dispute page:
This trade is pending a resolution by either party. You can provide more information or change the feedback at any time.If you need more time, you can extend the timeout by 7 more days.If no resolution is reached, the feedback will be confirmed at the auto-close timeout.
Should I just not do anything and wait for either the feedback to be confirmed or a for a response from the seller (And is it the negative feedback that will be confirmed? I assume yes, but I'd like to be certain).
I'm sure this is all covered in the faqs and whatnot, but I'd rather get a response from you guys and I don't think one more thread will hurt. Besides, from what I've read of dispute problems, It seems almost likely that I'll need more help later on and now I'll have a thread already made for it.
Just wait for the seller to confirm or dispute the negative.
Alright, thanks. (Even though the simplicity of your answer makes me look like an idiot lol)
Since he already opened the dispute, I wasn't sure if I had to do anything or not. I thought maybe if I didn't and the time passes, since he opened the dispute, he'd get a positive out of it or something. I just wanted to make sure I'm not missing anything.
If you state why you give the negative, I'll have more to say.
The option won't be available for a couple of days, but you'll be able to escalate the issue to Goozex to review the dispute as well.
The option isn't available immediately after the dispute is opened (in hopes that the two traders can work something out), but if you feel that you're at an impasse with the dispute and you've provided all the information possible, go ahead to use the option.
Any background information on the reason for the negative would be helpful as well.

Sorry. The negative is for unplayable disc. The game is Mega Man 3 for NES and it doesn't even load up a title screen. I gave it more than enough tries and gave it some basic cleaning with cuetip/alcohol, but couldn't get anything. I also tested the system with a few other games and they all worked fine.
I already have an option for escalating to Goozex, but should I do that now or wait for it to time-out/wait for the seller to respond?
In my opinion, it is up to the seller to escalate. I would just leave it up to them to escalate or let it time out.

Seems to me you're at an impasse now in the dispute - you're stating the game is unplayable after testing/troubleshooting and seller is (i'm assuming) stating the game works.
The next step would be getting Goozex involved by escalating - normally it's up to the seller to do so. It will still take them a little time once escalated, but they should eventually ask you to forward the game to them for inspection. From there they can resolve the dispute after they test the game out themselves.
Alright. Thanks everyone. I guess I'll wait it out, let them escalate it if they want.
