I have been thinking about getting a PSP (pretty much totally fueled by Valkyria Chronicles 2), and I was wondering how much time the average adult on here actually uses their PSP.  I mean, I have a full time job, and I don't play my PS3 all the time, typically twice a week or so.  If I were to turn the PSP on 1 time a week, I think that would be enough for me to make the purchase.

So, in reference to the title of my post, how much do you play your PSP?  How does that compare to your console gaming time?

It's pretty much non-existent if I compare it to console gaming time.  That said, there are more PSP games than just VC2 if you like SRPGs or RPGs (Jeanne D'arc, Tales of Eternia, Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth for instance).  I'm considering picking up a second PSP just for VC2 and shesnrice.

I play my PSP on average of 1-2 hours every night or every other night (depending on the game and where the save point is). Whereas I may play my 360/PS3 3-4 hours in one night, but normally 2 or 3 times a week.

PSP play time per week = 4-8 hours
360/PS3 time per week = 6-12 hours
and, watching movies per week = ~14 hours

This is with taking master classes, part time jobs, and watching the two nieces.

I rarely play it, though with VCII out; the buttons will be worn off by the end of the month

Pizza guys are getting worse and worse looking. I guess all the good ones went into porn.

I play mine on rotation with my DS. I like to play handhelds before bed, so I'll work and beat one game, and then pick something on the other system. Currently I'm replaying Jeanne D'Arc <3 Love the game, so at least 1 hour every night before bed, if not more. When I'm traveling, I usually run the batteries out in the airport/on the plane lol.

I've been using my PSPgo a lot. But that's because I've been putting anime on it and watching episodes on the go. 32 gb of space can hold a lot. :D

The last time I played with mine was when the power went out. The last time I played before that was when the power went out the year before. Most of my game time is on the 360. I haven't played VC1, so I don't know if VC2 would change my mind about the PSP. I do plan on getting Birth by Sleep though.

I rarely play it. I'm afraid to carry it around because it feels too fragile, especially compared to the DS which you can just toss at the bottom of bag.

I love my PSP, but barely use it for gaming. I mostly use it for watching TV shows to make treadmill time pass more quickly. I also use it when traveling, of course, but day to day I'm not going to boot up a PSP over a console.

I play my PSPGo more than my consoles, actually.  It gets used every night for a bit before I fall asleep, whereas I usually only play my consoles on the weekends.  Also, I can usually squeeze in some PSP minis play on my commute or while cooking dinner.  That said, I feel like PS2 and PS3 games are generally better experiences than most PSP games...but the convenience of having fairly awesome games in my pocket means that I put a lot more time into the PSP than consoles.  I'm a pretty busy guy, and the PSP is generally better suited to my needs.

I had a PSP for a couple days, played it for a few hours then sold it for more than I bought it for.  I think it is a great console for taking on trips and for playing PS1 classics on.  For everyday use I doubt I would play it very much.

Honestly I don't use my PSP for gaming much, but I do use it every day. Gaming wise I use it once every few weeks probably - I'm in the middle of God of War: Chains of Olympus right now (excellent game BTW). However I watch movies and TV shows that I've downloaded and listen to music and podcasts daily on it. I'll even throw some pictures on it from time to time. I use my Nintendo DS lite more for actual gaming on the go, but it doesn't get turned on every day like my PSP does.

I mostly use mine to watch movies and TV shows. I have a fair amount of downtime at work so I use it a couple times a week. If I'm in the mood to play games I will definitely pick my console over the PSP but the PSP can come in handy.

The PSP is like a gun, it's better to have one and not need it then need it and not have it. Pizza

You should pitch that to Sony for their marketing campaign.
