VC3 article: http://ps3.ign.com/articles/111/1117332p1.html
Twice this year i've been tempted to get a PSP (first for MGS: Peace Walker, now for VC2). Considering my DS gathers dust and the 3DS is on the horizon (and looking damn fine), it just wouldn't be worth it.
I also wish VC2 was a PS3 title but hopefully the 9/16 reveal planned for TGS will be an announcement that VC3 is coming back to PS3...
...and hopefully next time Sega learns how to market the damn game.

I too have considered purchasing a PSP for MGS & Valkyria but decided to pass and wait on 3DS.
I have no clue why Sega thought it was a good idea to release VC2 as a PSP exclusive ... this reeks of contractual obligations.
VC is a great game ( this coming from someone who doesn't play many RPGs). Maybe they'll port VC2 as a PSN download or include it on the disk for 'VC3' on PS3.

That makes too much sense. It'll get a PS2 port.

IT WILL GET NO PORT AND I SHALL MOCK THOSE WITHOUT A PSP MUAHAHAHAHAHA.... sorry...

Good News everyone ... I just obatined a copy of VC2 for the Atari 2600. Hot off the presses !
Reminds me of an article I read where a Halo designer actually made a fully functional Halo game for the Atari 2600.

you can play it via flash on pc; its better than actual halo
I haven't looked but heard that VC2 might be UMD only (like Sony incompetently allowed Squeenix to do with Kingdom Hearts) ... anyone know?
Was VC good enough that I should look at it?

For 99% of gamers yes, for you probably not
Kidding aside, it's one of the best (console) tactical RPGs I've ever played. Not to mention the art style (VC for ps3) is one of the sexiest things (aside from Chooch) I've ever seen.

Actually, the thing I love about the PSP & DS is my ability to peek into the console gaming world - I absolutely adore the new PDP Persona 3 game and Dragon Quest DS game ... I don't want that style on my PC, but I love good jRPG genre games on PSP.
$40 down tonight, so it seems ;)
It's probably shesnrice's favourite PS3 game, if not game. So, I bought her her own PSP and VC2 tonight.
edit:
In case you couldn't tell I was joking with the previous statement.

Handhelds, not consoles (in the modern definition of the word).
