Checked out the demo for Shank a couple days ago on PSN, and man did I enjoy it.  If you are a fan of sidescroller beat-em-ups with a nice cartoony style (reminds me of Samurai Jack), you owe it to yourself to check it out.  Not sure it is worth a full $15, but I will probably be picking it up the first time it goes on sale.

I sadly bought a game for $15 when I knew it wasn't worth it. I got the same feeling with this game, maybe worth $10 I will wait for a sale also. Only game worth $15 atm would be Monday Night Combat.

I caved and picked it up day one.  Honestly, I loved every minute of it and for me it was worth every penny.

3-4 hours for the single player. 2-3 hours for the co-op.

It's a decent game at best but considering Castle Crashers just hit PSN this week at the same price point and in the same genre, I would say pick that game up first. It's a much better value than Shank will ever be. Shank is a fun game, but extremely short and I'm still not sure whether it is even worth the price that I paid for it or the 2GB of space that it has sucked out of my now full 360 HDD.

I am gonna wat till it goes on sale as well.  I enjyed the demo, but I'm not paying $15 for it.

And since when is it required that all new Arcade games need to be $15?  That's the way it seems as of late at least...

That's cause all of the games released over the last month or so have been the "summer of arcade" games, part of the buy so many get a bonus, etc.  Big money maker for MS.

I enjoyed the demo, (other then a weaksauce dodge move) but already fell for the $15 trap that was LIMBO.  I'm sure its a solid game, but I want replay value for my $15.  

Will wait til this one goes on sale next year.

Not saying this applies in all cases. But take a look at games like Shank, Shadow Complex, Limbo, and Guardian of Light. Now take a look at some of the game from the first year or two of XBLA. There has been a HUGE increase in production values, and that comes with a price. Hell, there are several XBLA games that use the Unreal 3 engine, and that isn't cheap.

A valid point.  Production values have indeed gone up.  Guardian of Light vs. Limbo is a good example of this.  Both are great games.  Limbo for me was one and done.  I've easily put in 8 or so hours already into GOL.  Its a fantastic game and WELL worth its $15.

My problem is that the line seems to have become blurred on what games should be $10 vs. $15.
