new xbox and save files

My wife and son convinced me to get a new xbox tonight.  

Can I simply put all my save files onto my xbox 360 formatted flash drive and then put them on my new 360?

I'm mainly concerend about the mass effect and mass effect 2  save files. 

Can I do this with my profile as well?  I know i can transfer the profile over wifi, but the flash drive would be easier.  Currently my profile is on my memory card.

For the most part, yes.  There are some games that the save files won't transfer.  I mostly ran into it with older games, like the newest one that wouldn't let me copy the save data was Too Human.  Not that I was planning on playing Too Human again anytime soon, but I would have liked to have kept my data in case they ever actually continue the story.

Via a flash drive, I was able to get my profile and 95% of my saves.
