Well, I'm currently finding myself in need of extra cash. I've been wanting to try online surveys, but I don't really know which ones are legitimate. You guys have any ideas?
quick cash usually doesnt happen with survey sites because it takes a while for money to build up for enough to cash in and alot of surveys they might send are for cash amounts not worth the time unless you have nothing better to do.
I used to use surveyspot, your2cents, and lightspeed panel
I still use opinionsquare because you can cash in your points for lots of different prizes like video games cds and dvd sets if you are patient and their surveys usually only take a few minutes to finish and not a half an hour like alot of surveys on the other sites do. It takes a while to get enough points to collect the good prizes but I usually end up getting a couple of dvds or video games a year from it. I also won an anime series set a week ago from scratching off a scratch off and I won a Foreman grill there from playing a slot machine game last summer.

pyramid/ponzi/matrix scheme hybrids are only quick cash for those in on the scheme at the top levels.
As someone else mentioned, if you really dedicated yourself you may end up with a few DVDs per year. which is approx worth $10. Not a great breakdown if you look at time invested vs. reward.
I myself use pinecone research. The surveys are quick and pay alright. I have gotten three three dollar checks form them so far. It's not much but it covers Goozex tokens.

$9! Now that's gangsta!
Seriously tho, you can't be free money. I've never gotten anything from surveys I filled out in the past, but I never went in actively looking for cash payouts so that's probably why.
I use e-rewards but it's by invite only, meaning you have to be invited by one of their sponsors. I get gift cards to Omaha Steaks and Gamestop all the time, they've got a lot of sponsors but those are the two I use the most.
Yeah, I've gotten 75 bucks in gamestop gift cards from e-rewards. Also pinecone research as listed above. They pay for my goozexing.
I signed up for e-Rewards after an invite, and so far I like it. Their surveys are usually short (under 20 minutes to complete), and they have a wide range of sponsors that you can "spend" your earnings on. Once you've accrued $50 of "e-Currency," you can trade it in for a $25 GameStop gift card.
Each completed survey will net you between $2 and $5 (some less, some more), and if you don't qualify for the study (happens to me about 1/2 the time), you still get a partial credit of 25 cents to $1. They are available in bunches, but average about 4 or 5 a week. Totally worth the time, if you ask me.
How do I get an invite to e-rewards?
The only one I've stuck with is u.talk.back. I have no idea how I got involved with it, but I've been with them just over a year this month and recently received a $50 gift card for Gamestop. Works for me.

Sorry for the late reply -- got busy with other things.
I think I received an invite to e-Rewards after making an online purchase (it was either Newegg or OWC/MacSales). Once you've confirmed your payment, a pop-up or re-direct will appear, explaining that you've been "extended an invitation" to join, and they tempt you with rewards from other online retailers, yadayadayada....
I think you'll just have to get lucky when you make an online purchase.
