I know some people are very sensitive about the box art that they received so I figured I would ask this before I get hit with a neutral. I recently bought a game from Blockbuster. Said game had a little "Retail Price: $49.99" in the righthand corner of the box. I thought this was a sticker, but it turns out this is printed directly on the box cover art. This case was obviously a display model of some sort. The game/manual are both no different from the retail version. The case/box art are also no different besides the price being a part of the cover art.
Would you list this as full or disk + manual? I suppose I could just use a scissors and cut the corner off the cover art. Seems like a disingenuous solution, but I am guessing that having an imperfection in the cover would lead to a +5 instead of the possible neutral that I would get if someone argued that this is not the retail copy.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Unless that is on ALL publishings I would stick with disc and manual only. You can always PM the recipient to see if he/she cares prior to accepting the match.
Personally, I'd be ticked off if I got a box like that. I'd list it as game+manual.
i would probably give a neutral in that situation
Although I personally think it's petty, I understand that rules are rules. Thanks for the input.
Actually, this is a hard question. Technically it IS the box the game came in, and despite the fact it has that printed on it, it's still an original box, and imho the worst someone should be able to give you is a +5, not in the condition you expected.

think it is petty if you want; but think of two other things as well
1. Would you want to receive a game in that condition?
2. Shipping a game in that condition effects the re-tradeability of a game, as most users wouldn't want to send it out as full package
The only collecting I do with games is to play them. Personally, it wouldn't bother me in the slightest.
As for effecting retradeability, once again, +5 is the worst I can think of that they could give for feedback. People give that for no reason at all sometimes.
