This game is definitely epic. The production value is through the roof.
I got it on release day, but I didn't have a chance to start playing it until last night. I've only managed to get a couple hours into it & I can already tell this is going to be a great game!
I love how they changed the QTE by placing the button that needs to be pressed to the corresponding side (X is at the bottom, Square is to the left, etc.). It allows you to watch what's going on & not concentrate on which button needs to be pressed b/c you know which button to press by where the symbol is on the screen. I hope more games start doing this.
My only gripe is that the trophies are kinda lame. If you played the GoW Collection, they're almost identical as to how they're set-up...but that's a small gripe.
I think im gonna pick up a PS3 soon and wait fer God of War III price to go down
I'm surprised noboby is talking about this game. Isn't anyone else playing it?
Would love to...but I still have to plow through the GoW Collection one of these days. Perhaps this weekend I'll get started on it again.

You people are silly. I never use this site for new releases, its much more convient to buy them...Like when Dissidia first came out boxing day was right around the corner and I got it for $2o..I got God of War III recently for $34 cuz I had a $20 Walmart card

I've got a few 1000 points sitting around, a lot of time to wait while I play through other games, so why NOT use this site for new games. I always nab the new ones after people are trying to get rid of them in droves. I'm in no rush.

Same here for many games. Who has $60 to throw around multiple times a month?
I did buy GoW3 for $32 from Amazon with discounts, but it's still in the shrinkwrap.

Great game so far ^_^ It is indeed worthy of the GOW name, and it looks...and SOUNDS...better than ever.
I did notice something odd, tho -- The normal edition of this shows up as a Bonus-point game (+200 for trading within 30 days), but the Collector's Edition does not. What gives?
Oddly enough, there ARE people Requesting both the DO and DM of the box set...which means they just want the game. I have the box set, and, as far as I can tell, the game case/disc are identical to the normal release.
The title screen of the Collector's version says "ultimate edition" when you load the game. But the disc and case look the same.
