PLEASE raise this game back to 1000 points.  I've been sitting at 2nd in line for what feels like forever.  I'm willing to give up 1000 points and it's just not moving at all.  If points are dictated by supply and demand then something is wrong with your system, as there is demand, but NO supply.

Yeah, I'm just wining because I'm gameless (and bored).

  1. The game costs, at most, $40 new in most retail environments.
  2. The game truly sucks
  3. Ask for a better game
  4. Might I remind you the game is crappier than a turd with diarrhea

Yeah, its pretty damn horrible.  So I expect it to be like fairytale fights and bottom out at 20 dollars at gamestop soon.

ok, so i get that you don't think it's a good game, but it's one of a very short list of games i want to play (don't care about reviews) and based on supply/demand it shouldn't continue to drop if there is such a low supply.  IMO of course.

Bad games = dropping MSRP = price drop here.  Demand would have to be well into 100 or more before it would go back up anywhere near 1000.

i really wish i could get a better grasp on the determining factors of point determination.

seems like i'm not the only one confused but some of the decisions made by the staff.

don't get me wrong, LOVE this site, but i'm not really sure what the hell is going on half the time.

is there any published info on what that system is?  from what i've gathered on the forums the game data (release dates and such) is import from another site.

Has the staff ever posted any specifics on point determination?  Perhaps anything referring to supply and demand effects on point values?

Maybe you should add some more games to your Requests list instead. Wink

Or if you want the game that badly, just buy it. I've seen new copies on sale for $40.

it's not the only game i'm requesting, just surprised i've been at 2nd in line for so long.

with over 5000 points in reserve and 1000's of points worth of games sitting here (on hold) that can go out, i am desperate to spend some points on something.

Have you played /gotten Mass Effect 2, Batman Arkham Asylum, or the Uncharted series? Those all look great and are third person as well. Out of those, Mass Effect 2 looks most similar to Dark Void. It's supposed to be a lot better too. There's plenty of good games for not that much right now too.

as i mentioned, i play a LOT of games.  when i had my 360(s) i did play mass effect, on my ps3 i have played all those mentioned.

i think last count (yes, i keep track) i've played over 130 console games on my 360(s) and ps3.

call me crazy, but i really want to play dark void, and am more than willing to part with 1000 points to get it.  just wish i'd move from #2.

Don't try to figure out the Goozex point algorithm. It makes zero sense at times and you will so how points will drop or raise for no reason at all. But usually it does a good job at keeping price points where they need to be.

While this may be accurate, depending on how long 'a long time' really is, if a game isn't moving despite an active request queue, it SHOULD go up, regardless of how terrible or not it actually is.

Goozex is pretty timely in lowering prices in a reasonable manner, but often times bringing them back up when necessary is a struggle.

Granted, the current situation is moot if the buyer here considers 'a long time' to be something like 7-10 days.
