I got a snowboarding trip to the local ski hill this last weekend. Friday night went great and I tore up a bunch of green runs and some blues. This was only my third time snowboarding, so I'm still trying to get my feet under me. Saturday I couldn't go, and Sunday was my last chance, so I went for it (and ignored all the football parties). Anyway, my first run down the hill I saw this hot chick who seemed to be alone and pretty new. I was looking over at her and asked if she needed any help as I was going into a heel-side stop. And right at the same time I hit an ice patch and my board went out and I went down hard on my ass. I don't know if I've ever taken a fall that hard before. It was mostly flat and I was going slow, but that just means I had farther to fall. Anyway, she laughed and slipped and fell too and then we spent the rest of the evening snowboarding and I showed her some stuff. And man is my coccyx sore today.

...isn't there some kind of badge for that?

I admit, the pun was bad! (Aren't they all?)

If you've ever badly smashed your coccyx, you know my pain! It's like having a broken bone, except the doctor can't do anything but give you some advil and tell you to take it easy. I was joking about the chick bits (trying to work in that coccyx joke!), but I really have never taken a fall this bad before.
