How come gamers on goozex do that? keep them on hold for a long time? I'm trying to get Mario Kart Wii for my bro, I know i have to be patient though

Probably cause most people don't want to send that big box for 750 points.

Well the hold system is a bit broken in some respects. Anyone can place any game on hold to secure their spot in line even if they have no intention of trading the game any time in the near future. Potentially it gives them the advantage in the case that there is a sudden change and everyone begins to offer up the same game-- they just pull the title off hold and they are right near the top of the queue.

The "hold" queue isn't really a very useful way to gauge your chances of getting the game. In most cases you'll more than likely get the game from someone that never had the game on hold.

Goozex should make a thing where you can't keep a game on hold for more than, say 10 days, and after those ten days, its traded automaticly

No, horrible idea.  That would defeat the purpose of having the holds.

but would fix people taking advantage of using the hold system

There is no reason for you to be looking at the items that are on hold.  You arent going to get matched up with them so just ignore those numbers.  If Goozex set it up where you could only have an item on hold for 10 days then those people with their games on hold would just delete them from their offers list so you still wouldnt be getting the game faster.

Goozex is designed to allow people to take advantage of the On Hold system.

Don't take this the wrong way, but perhaps you should try looking at this situation from an angle other than "I want this game now and all these people who own it won't trade it to me immediately."

How exactly can you "take advantage" of the On Hold system. It is exactly what it purports to be: a list of games you own and might trade in the future. Then again, you might not. You have put the decision on hold.

Goozex isn't a retail store; if you really want a game, go and buy it.

I have Mario Kart, along with every other game I own, "on hold". If the time comes that I want to get rid of it I would switch it to Active, and I would have a better spot in line than if I waited until I actually wanted to get rid of it. Is it entirely fair? I don't know exactly, but that's how the system works, so I use it.

This is pretty much what I do... any game that is tradeable that I own, I list on hold...

And now the whole neighborhood knows. Thank you very much.
