Halo 3 ODST Question

I just recently bought from my brother the halo 3 odst disc.  Just the disc that plays halo 3:Odst.  He for some reason had the rest of it stolen, like the case, the Halo 3 itself portion and everything else.  Can I still trade this as a disc only since it is technically the disc of halo 3 odst?

No. ODST must be traded with both discs, even as disc only.

yeah my brother and I actually traded but the game I traded wasn't worth it it was chromehounds after the servers closed so I didn't care.

Well....now that that's solved, I have a ODST question.

Is there any way to zoom when looking through the scope/ironsights?

I understand many guns don't have sights at all, but the ones that do zoom so minimally it doesn't seem worthwhile. 

My current standing example is the 2nd level. T. Plaza on Heroic is ridiculous with all the snipers hitting you at once.  I nabbed one of their rifles to fire back, but they're nothing more than a quarter inch figure on my screen, even with the 'zoom'.  So I'm pinging away at them the best I can with this limited sniper scope, whilst they just blast the hell out of me from afar with far greater accuracy than I could ever hope for.

Tell me I'm missing a simple zoom in/out feature?

It seems to have come along with the multiplayer component of 3, not the entire game.

If I remember, the rifle type weapons (Battle Rifle, Carbine) have one zoom level by clicking the right thumbstick

The sniper rifles (human 4 shot, covenant energy) have a 2 zooms, just press the right thumbstick twice.  I may be wrong as I haven't played any halo games in a while.

Oh and the human silenced scoped super pistol has one zoom level. (best all around weapon in ODST imo)

ODST comes with the complete Halo 3 MP experience - including all maps available.

I gave it a once over, and I think I only saw the 'aim' button (default RT), but I was looking for an in and out zoom.  I was going to read the whole thing, but the wife didn't want the lights on, and dark green text on black makes for some hard reading in dim light conditions, so I just wung it.

This is true, and I agree the pistol is the best weapon in the game.  You can go to your settings, button layout, and it will tell you what each button does (no light needed, plus manuals are lame!).  Default zoom is pressing the right thumbstick in.  I always change my layout to Green Thumb, cuz I like that to be my beatdown (so much faster), and zoom switches to B.

I did exactly that yesterday myself...I couldn't stand it being under the right stick.   Trying to keep that pressed while also trying to line up a distant shot was aggravating to say the least.  As soon as I changed it I got my first headshot achievement within the next minute or so. 

It still gives me a little bit of trouble when I'm fired at and forced to lower the weapon, as B is a bit farther away to hit to renew my sight picture in a pinch.  I was kind of hoping it could have been moved to one of the lower left buttons (bumper or trigger), as I use it a lot.
