I just noticed today that Modern Warfare 2 for PC was gone from my requests list and was listed as untradeable. Just curious, but anyone know why? I'm assuming it has something to do with online and keys or something, but I'm not sure.
i think it is one of the Steam things but i am not 100% sure about that.

Yep, it is Steam related.

Since it uses Steam for MP, it is registered by Steam, which makes it untrabeable. They finally made L4D2 untradeable, much like L4D.
I wish these games were made tradable as new though. Or via E-Trade (an extra title on Valve). There are plenty of flippable titles to be had there that are instantly written off.
I'd equate it to trading a PSN or Xbox Arcade title.

Interesting idea Kenny, I'm not PC gamer savvy, but if this works just like XBLA titles then it may be possible.

It is similar to XBLA. You buy the game, and it comes with a product key. You enter the product key into your Steam account, and the game is added to your account. Then you can just download the game from Steam with no disc required. I guess people requesting full package should still expect to recieve the disc+case.
You can also gift games on Steam, which would make it very similar to trading Wiiware games where you add them to your friends list and send them the gift. Not that many people trade Wiiware games anyway >_>.
Although, I'm pretty sure there's something in the Steam TOS or something that doesn't allow you to sell product keys or gifts. Maybe someone could skim through that (not it)
