So, Im a little bored at work and need to be entertained. What is your ideal party for this game? How far along are you in the game?

Ive currently completed the Dalish Elves section, Redcliffe (1 time through), Denerim (1 time through), New Haven, Shale, and Im in the middle of Orzammar. Im lvl 19 and seem to be doing pretty ok. My standard party has been the female rogue, the old lady enchanter, and Shale. Im thinking about dropping Shale and adding Morrigan in as my main is a sword and board tank. Im a little worried about it, as I kind of like having a big funny rock at my side for those not so friendly nights in the middle of a hoard of gangbangers or shrieks.

Just curious what everyone else is using...

My standard party was Maskim (human warrior/berserker/champion with a 2 handed sword), Alistair (kept him sword and board templar/champion), Leliana (dual weilded her bard/duellist), and Morrigan.

Between my pommel strike, Leliana's rogue skills like dirty fighting and below the belt, and Alistair's shield bash techniques, nothing could ever fight back, as they were always on the ground or stunned.

I'm done with my play through, but plan on doing a city elf rogue for my next play.

My warrior is a human warrior, berserker, champion also but sword and board. With the shield knockdown, 3 hit shield knockdown, warcry that knocks down and the shield stun I can keep most things down too..

I really like the idea of having Shale in the party as hes tough as hell, but having a more offensive caster in Morrigan seems like itd be just as helpful if not more.

I was a Female Dalish Elf Rogue and my party was Alistair, Morrigan and Wynne

My next playthrough will probably be me as a Male Human Warrior and I'll take Morrigan, Leliana and most likely Wynne.

Gotta have the two mages. lol

I ended up regretting my decision to rely heavily on Morrigan, as the choices I made near the end of the game caused me to not have her when I needed my best party.

Either mage will suit your needs well.  Just put some points into some more offensive skills.  I like more support oriented magic, though, as I traditionally run melee characters.

Shale's awesome.  I didn't use him except for a short defending the gates portion, but with his lightning crystal I had him equipped with he was doing massive damage to his target and AoE damage to all the other enemies around him.

Yea, thats my thinking too G-Nitro...but Shale is SO good its tough to drop him. Hes just ridiculously tough. Oh well, I think Ill grab Morrigan and go the 2 mage, Rogue, warrior route.

I play as a female rogue dwarf with Wynne, Sten,  and last I usually pick Alistair or Ogren- sometimes Morrigan.
