Same here as well. One thing I like more then COD4 is the Spec-Ops mode.
What I mean, though, is that I traded out CoD4 and I haven't actually purchased MW2 yet...so I better like it!
I personally enjoyed the first one more overall. I think it has a lot to do with the "wow, something different" factor. The first one introduced so many new things to the COD franchise that made it so exciting to play. The second is just more of the same (and less in some aspects) so that "this is so great" feeling isn't as high for me. Plus the multiplayer feels gimped for number 2 with the matchmaking stuff and the 18 player limit (12 on certain game modes ).
2 is still enjoyable and I think the story and experience of the Single Player is better than 1 but overall it does nothing to move the franchise forward and feels a bit more like an expansion than a full on sequel.
If you can get around the matchmaking in MP (which truthfully is not THAT hard to ignore because the game itself is still in tact) then you'll still enjoy it but it kinda makes me wish I didn't trade away the first.
COD4 has the better multiplayer.
MW2 has the better campaign.
I like the SP better in COD4.
I like the MP in MW2 better.
MW2 for me. I loved the campaign, the special ops mode is an excellent addition, and the multiplayer is better than ever. My only complaint is my online skill is not up to par with what it was in COD 4, but that's my own problem I have to deal with!
Well now that MW2 was just delivered to my door I will have to go check it out and vote later on.

MW2 as it has Splitscreen Co-op.
CoD4...at least for now. I have to respect the game i've put more time into than any other over the last 5 years.
So far, i'm enjoying the hell out of MW2 and the multiplayer looks to have legs to keep me interested for some time to come. If i'm still playing the hell out of it 6+ months from now, i'll agree MW2 is the better game.

In my opinion MW2 Has a little more to offer Than CoD4. I enjoy the Single player Much better, and it should take me a while to get all the Stars in Special Ops.
I'm not enjoying MW2's gameplay as much as CoD4's. Maybe I will soon, but as of now, I don't think the maps are as good. Some of them are just too big for it being capped at 18 players.
It's fun, but just not something that is making me feel "OMG! I need to play more! Gotta rank up."
You're not fighting wave after wave after wave of respawns until you force an advance in every single chokepoint of the campaign. That alone makes MW2 > MW in my book.
Multiplayer is also much more dynamic, although less balanced. Time shall tell.
