3 Mo. of Xbox live for $9.99

There is currently a deal on xbox live to get 3 mo. of gold membership for $9.99 (usually $19.99). The only way I know to do this currently is through the dash using a credit card. I saw it last night.

Not a bad deal. Considering I need to renew mine but don't have money for a 12 month membership right now. Thanks for the heads up!

I havent seen the add for this but usually for these xbox live deals you have to be a silver membership when you use the deal and if you dont remove your credit card number they auto renew you every 3 months at 19.99.

I totally cashed in on this earlier this week!  A friend of mine went looking for this deal last night, however, and wasn't able to find it.  I wonder why?

OK WAIT. I just logged into Online Banking with my credit card, and I was never charged for the membership purchase... Then I logged into XBL and looked at my membership page, and the 3 month membership isn't listed!

WHAT GIVES? I totally bought it. I remember when I did it. It told me to "log out and then log back in for my changes to take effect"...  Anyone else having this problem?

Ok, I just looked at it 30 seconds ago...

Fired up my xbox, went to the "Spotlight"  heading, and the third selection in says:

"Don't Let Your Gold Expire

 Renew now - 3 months $9.99"

across the bottom with a picture of a generic avatar with a green shirt holding a controller in the background.
