I'd like to know a bit about your trading experience for movies on Goozex, during the first few months the service has been available. Here are just a few questions to frame the discussion, and I'll appreciate if you can share some your thoughts on the service, both on the "pros" and the "cons". For example:
- What do you like most?
- If you are not using the service, why is that?
- Is there one single change that you would see addressed to make you change your mind?
We strive at making Goozex better every day and your input is always appreciated. Thanks!
As a matter of fact, my wife and I were watching my latest Goozex acquisition last night. I love the movie trading service.
My only complaint would be the number of different versions of each movie listed in the Muze database. It can get confusing to figure out which one I should be requesting/listing.

I use it sometimes, but only because I'm not a person who watches a lot of movies.

The amount of listings a single title has. I understand there are some limitations, but is there anyway to make it so a Bluray movie doesn't have three or four different listings for 1 version?
timpy beat me to it...

All movies I have bought are Canadian versions, but they have the exact same content as the American version. The bilingual cover is usually the only difference. So I'll list my copy as the Canadian version and it will sit there as everyone seems to request the American version...I also don't understand the point discrepancy between some of the versions when the content is the same. To me it's not worth the hassle of listing the DVDs/BRDs I'm willing to trade.

I traded out most of my movies when the service launched, but I don't plan on doing it regularly, and I don't plan on requesting any movies.
Compared to games, it's much easier to track down movies at dirt-cheap prices, so it's not worth using points to obtain them.
I was a little confused with the poll...I dont trade movies out generally, but I do have them come in, generally in BRD form.
Overall, I'm enjoying the addition, however the added facet to Goozex puts quite a strain on my hold list. A separate list for movies would be nice, mainly as I am no longer the only one interested in utilizing the service, yet my household can only have one account.
Not a huge deal, but a small gripe of mine. Great addition overall.

I'm trading 2 brand new Blu Ray as we speak.
I'm finding myself mostly requesting DVDs with very little going out. To be fair, those I am interested in getting rid of are pretty much crap. I hate spending money for DVDs even if they are only $5, so for me this service works out extremely well.
I'd also like to see the database with less duplicate entries and/or the same point values for similar editions.
I trade movies - mostly for ones that arent easy o get on netflix
As for a suggestion that has made before I would like to restate that I wish the anime section was better because its very unspecific they way it is now. Most of the movies are listed under a different category and hard to find unless you know exactly what you are looking for and type in the title which you obviously must know beforehand. I would prefer it to just type in anime and have a whole mass of movies pop up instead of the only 10 pages they have when you use that category especially since many of the most popular titles dont even come up. I can usually find exact titles of what I want because I know the names of the films I want specifically but unlike when I use netflix I cant find any new titles from just browsing around and find possibly something that looks interesting to potentially add to my want list.
I've been trading out some of my DVDs to pick up the bluray editions, when available. Gotta step into the future of what's currently recognized as "High-Def"!

I would like to trade out more movies although noone seems to want disc only:(
I only trade movies out. I probably never will receive any thanks to netflix.
I've been using it quite often and have been getting quite a bit of movies in and trading a few out. One complaint I have is that some box sets are way too low in points and people don't seem to be trading them out, but then again that seems to happen quite often with games also so I guess it's just a universal thing that will never be completely "fixed".
Like everyone else, I do believe there are too many unnecessary listings for certain movies (such as the checkpoint, sensormatic, and Canadian ones). Also, I'd like it if it was possible for Anime to be double listed in genre, both in the specific genre they apply to (such as action, sci-fi, etc. [like some of the more popular ones are]) and also listed under the Anime genre.
I did use it. I currently traded away all my HD DVD movies which in turn used to blu ray movies. But now i have no more movies to trade and i don't want to trade my regular dvd's because there only at 100 points and don't want to pay shipping for 75+movies.
Now im currently using my points just for games so I have not been receiving any movies lately (except for gremlins which i got for my wife for 100pts) but I like that i have the option to request movies if i want to. The other thing is the quantity on new blu ray releases is so low that you have to wait forever as well.
Pm me your email addy for Lockerz invite have 9 left redemption coming soon
I've gotten a few TV seasons and a movie, but that is it. I don't own to many movies, and the ones I have I own for a reason. My library has a great collection of DVD's and I also have netflix instant watch set up so if I feel like watching a movie those are usually the first two places I look.
Cat in the walllll
I use it all the time. I get in a lot of stuff and have gotten rid a lot of the ones I posted.
My only suggestion to the G-Team is to start heavily promoting the movie side of things and get more movie only trading. While it is doing well, it could be so much larger than it is with the right advertising. It just doesn't seem to be out there and in peoples' faces enough
