I've noticed that some of the smaller PC gaming companies, are not putting manuals in the case. But, they are putting it as a file/pdf on the disc. A few examples would be Darkest of Days, and Hinterland: Orc Lords.

Would these games still be considered Full, or just Disc only?

Good question and it's a very valid point. Indeed, even with bigger publishers it does happen sometimes (usually with a re-release of a classic game). If you can't put this under full package, then its another point for a future added category: Disc and Case Only.

Discussion......Yes

Yeah, like the re-release of Temple of Elemental Evil. Since the game doesn't come with the telephone book manual, they put the D&D 3.5 rules/manual on the disc.

You can still list it as full package as long as it doesn't include it when you buy it retail. Its the same as with DVDs.

I'm just going to let people know that, I bought it new without manual, and that's what they're getting. Cool

I think that needs to be very clear as you still have some people totally clueless that move DVDs no longer have inserts. These are the same people that will leave a neutral for stuff like that..... Tongue Tied

What might be helpful instead of adding another category, but what about a 'notes/comments' attached to the item, so you can list 'no inserts/manual included with new item'.

I got a +5 positive response with the Darkest of Days PC I sent.

When I traded out the budget version of Temple of Elemental Evil out, I PM'ed the buyer to tell them that it was the budget version. It took me 3 or 4 matches to get someone who was OK with the budget version. Just an FYI.

The budget version is the same game, just without the telephone book manual. Some people just don't get it.

Some people also just don't get that when it says full package, it is referring to the full package as it was originally sold at retail.  With Temple of Elemental Evil, as an example, if it has only one listing, not a seperate one for the budget release, then yes, it should  include the 'phonebook' manual, and the original retail box.  Otherwise, it is a disc only package, even if that is how you bought it in just a jewel case.

I always go under the assumption that "Full Package" comes with an actual printed manual, not a .PDF or a slip of paper that has a URL to were you can download a .PDF.

Maybe this is a matter of opinion, but if GameStop sells a game as a jewelcase edition, I don't see what's wrong with selling that jewelcase as Full Package. As long as it's the same contents you'd get at the store, it IS the full package.

Then again, I'm also not sure why people care about Greatest Hits or not.

IMO this all goes back to "Goozex isn't for collectors."

Full package doesn't mean disc, case and manual. It means everything that came wit the game when it was new. If no manual was ever included, you are entirely within your rights to list it as full package.

There's no loss of points with either of the 3 listings, so why can't I listed it as Full Package, IF I'm giving everything that I got when I purchased it. How was I to know that there's no printed manual, UNTIL I open the game, and then I can't return it, all stores in my area have an open video game no return policy. Which I'm sure most stores do now.
