Goozex has resolved this issue. Thanks guys! Sorry for being a pest!

OG POST

-----------------------------

So I'm invovled in a bit of mess right now. A game I was supposed to reiceve shows "Delivered" but to the wrong Zip code (It is in the same area as me). The game was supposed to show up on the 26th of October. It never did despite showing Delievered on the DC.

So I've been going back and forth with the Post Office/Post Office Supervisors/USPS Phone support etc...My Negative (which I had to leave in order to open a dispute before timing out) has been overturned (which I'm glad it is cause it's not the senders fault).

I go down to the USPS today as Goozex seemingly wants me to open a Claim with the post office. I have not recieved my points back so I figure I'm gonna get on this ASAP.

The Post Office says "No insurance means no claim." I asked if there is anything I can fill out to prove to Goozex that I'm trying to fight this/get my package. She told me to call USPS and file a Complaint.

Is this BS? Anyone have any insight? Can I really not file a Claim since there is no insurance?  Anyways thanks for the help I'm pretty frustrated right now as I'm not someone who has 1000's of points and losing a 1000 points is a pretty big deal for me.

There is suppose to be a lost mail form to fill out. Some post offices don't want to go through the hassle since with no insurance it won't do any good. Call the 800 number agian and file said complaint ask for a copy maybe that will be enough for the Gteam.

Hopefully. I just called the local supervisor again who was really nice but a bit really old sounding. She said she remembered talking to me and said she'd try to find out who was on duty yadda yadda. Same ole...I guess I'll call the 800 number now.

+1 to the lost mail form.  I filled one out when a package I shipped was manhandled and destroyed at the receiving end of the transaction.  I was actually the one to file the claim though, not the recepient, so IDK if that changes anything.

Even though the whole process felt like I was getting brushed off, a week or so later the product arrived and everyone was so happy there was a picnic....or so I had hoped.

Did you have it insured? So I should just ask for the lost mail form?

I filled out a claim once for a lost book that I did not have insurance on and the PO was not very helpful at all.  Basically they said they would look for it in one of their distribution centers that it passed thru, but w/out the insurance there was nothing they could really do.

It sucks bad and my book never made it to its' destination AFAIK

Like everyone else stated they are REQUIRED to supply you with a lost mail form if you ask them.  Insurance doesn't matter since you're the receiver and the tracking information shows an incorrect address (aka the wrong ZIP).  Get settled in for a LONG and tedious fight, I've done it before and it can take quite some time.  They like to ignore you the first couple times thinking you'll just go away but if you're persistant eventually they'll get tired of you and help just so you'll leave them alone.  You still may not WIN necessarily but good luck to you.

I don't believe it had insurance, I've never been much of a fan.  It's been a while now; it was a Wiimote that came with a brand new copy of WiiPlay back when it was new.

But a claim is all Goozex wants to refund the points back to his account. I don't think the post office is ever helpful.

Certainly can't argue there.  I avoid any interaction with them as much as possible.

Well goozex didn't say that I'm assuming that because they haven't given my points back yet.

Ok this is the worst response from Goozex ever:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Goozex.  The delivery confirmation number reports that item as delivered, therefore this is out of Goozex's control and is the responsibility of USPS.  We recommend you file a claim with USPS.  We pulled some information from the USPS website to assist with your claim:

"Using the label ID numbers, you can check the delivery status online via Track and Confirm on usps.com or you can obtain information by calling 1-800-222-1811. If five (5) or more postal business days have passed since the date of mailing and the recipient has confirmed that the item has not arrived, you may call 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777) to request documentation of your issue."

Please keep us informed of your correspondence and progress with USPS.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Happy Trading!

Maybe PM one of they guys like coyote and point out the wrong zip code. I don't know if that is kosher thing to do. But if it shows the wrong zip code you did not get your game and should be covered under the Goozex guarantee as it is lost in the mail.
