I have been a member of My Coke Rewards for a few years now, and a few times have been introduced to new or new to me products and services through this website.  For those of you who don't know, it is simply the codes under the caps of Coca Cola products (Fanta, Dasani, MInute Maid etc included) worth points that you redeem for prizes that have been donated.  What better combo than soda and Video gaming and movie watching?  I bet many of your traders are already enrolled. It's a good way to raise awareness of your website to potential new users.  you could simply make available trade token or points at low levels of points as an intro, much like the free 100 pt/ 1 trade token promo, which has apparently been discontinued.

While I would be all for Goozex offering their services in this manner, I think the Coca-Cola company would have to desire Goozex. Goozex may be too small a fish in Coke's ocean for that.

maybe, maybe not, they'd have to ask, that's all.  I doubt they turn away too many willing to donate prizes, there's no real downside.  I agree maybe Goozex wouldn't be able to pony up enough to satisfy Coke, but again, can't hurt to ask.

Goozex has nothing to offer the Coca Cola company.

And soda is high in sugars and bad for your teeth with no nutritional content.

Ok Mom!  lol.

I agree though, Coke doesn't need Goozex.

Not to mention that I'm sure a large majority of people just throw away/recycle those codes anyway.  I can never be bothered to add them.

Why not add Air Miles support while they're at it?

I sense sarcasm (though I don't see the SIGN) but I don't see why that's actually a ridiculous idea.  why not?

besides, air travel is not something gamers necessarily do, but drinking soda probably is more often

speculation is fun, but I'm saying maybe someone should actually contact the Coke people and get a response, you know if they're serious about spreading to new users.

FYI, I actually obtained my Nintendo DS through MCR 2 years ago, didn't even have to pay for shipping.  back then they also had Wii's for twice as many pts, and by the time I would have had enough, they were gone. [:'(] I've gotten free Nike sneakers, Subway cards, TGIFriday's cards   MP3 speakers, DS games, DVD's and the last thing I got was 100 free tokens for Chuck e cheese for my nephew.  not turning your codes into prizes, if you have already bought the soda anyway, is , well I hesitate to say dumb, but it's really a good word in this situation.

There is speculation that the MCR program will end at the end of this year.  Just something to keep in mind.

Hey you might want to rethink that. Some of them crazy WOW clans do some crazy things. Like fly half way across the world to game with eachother.

I was being sarcastic, and I like Pepsi.

FYI you can redeem Air Miles on plenty of other things (games, systems, etc).  You don't need to use them for plane tickets.

The DS was 3200 pts at the time, and each cap is worth 3 pts and each 12 pk is 10, up to 25 for a 32 pk cans.  IDR how long it took but seems like it was around 6 months.  let's just say I had a lot of help in getting that many pts.  It has been watered down quite a bit now unfortunately, but still worth doing, especially if Goozex gets involved.  For instance if Gooz had gotten involved last year, I would have joined and become a member a full year earlier than 1-2 months ago.  It gets their name out to a large group of people.

incidentally I weigh 2000 pounds have diabetes type 1 AND 2 and all my teeth have fallen out - totally worth it.

perhaps not, but you do get them FROM buying plane tickets. I said "neccesarily" for a reason, just saying soda drinkers are more likely than freq flyers inthe gaming comm, not syaing theyre mutually exclusive actvities.  and the rest of your point "FYI you can redeem Air Miles on plenty of other things (games, systems, etc)."  pretty much supports my argument, why not hook Goozex up with air miles as well?  the more the merrier

Just what exactly would you want Goozex to do if they got 'involved'?
