This may put a crimp in crimp in the plans for a Borderlands PS3 event

From the article:
The PlayStation 3 version of Borderlands is a bit broken, according to early reports from owners of that game. The game's cooperative multiplayer mode won't recognize other Borderlands players on the PS3's friends list, an issue Gearbox is already addressing. In addition to problems with the PSN friends list, Borderlands is reported by users to have issues finding public games, with waits of 30 minutes or more for a list of available games.
At least a fix is in development. I'm glad I held off on picking this up on release since the multiplayer was what I was looking forward to the most.
That'd be too awesome if they would do PS3 + 360 servers.

Update: Well, that certainly was "ASAP." Gearbox reps say they've fixed the issue, no client side patch needed: "We are very pleased to report that using PSN friends lists with the game should now work properly for all PS3 customers. The fix has been released invisibly and should work automatically for all PSN users on the PS3 platform. No special action is required by PS3 customers to apply the fix - just play the game and you'll find that everything works fine now. We thank you all for your patience and for making us aware of the issue!"

Impressive! I kind of regret not getting two copies for the PS3. I hate split-screen co-op.
Wow...impressive support time there. I'm still toying with the idea on getting this for PC, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
And yea, 360 + PS3 play would be awesome on cross platform titles. I'd consider even paying for the privilege for some cross platform rivalry.

I will play. 360, 9pm EST. Pingedkiller. How is this going to be run? Is there actual multiplayer or is it just co-op?

I'm pretty sure the bulk of the game is CO-OP play, though there is an arena for DM play.
Not that I'm sure where's there's room for deathmatch play in a 4 player co-op game...
My guess is it will be co-op, at least that's what I'm hoping for
