I watched part of it. The lady doing the comentary seems well not very bright. Also there is nowhere for the boy to have been trapped. It was a sealed balloon. Someone probably just made that part up.

I heard the family of the boy was on the ABC show wife swap. Maybe they were trying to swipe their child for an alien by sending him into outerspace?
I'm hearing no one in the balloon now, so their plans must be foiled!
Went to the 7news link. The description of the dad is great: website for the purposes of "investigating the mysteries of science and psychic phenomena", featured on ABC's "Wifeswap" and a neighbor who claims this incident is "kind of normal for that family."

I hope he didnt fall out. Best case scenario is that the balloon got untethered, the 6 year old got scared that he lost the family balloon and ran away to hide.

Pretty scary - this is the town where I live. And as a dad, this scares my a lot. Hopefully they find him, and he didn't fall out of the balloon - but it looks like that might be the case.

No, I'm working in Denver... and I don't think he could have been in the box. But the bottom part of the balloon had a door on it.
