Goozex/Muze has the release dates backwards between the PS3 and 360 versions of this I believe.
Can not wait for this game it is looking real sweet. Now to find the time to play it with everything else coming out.
I hoping the PS3 version will be decent, but I'm not going to be surprised if it's the worst version

Sounds about right ...
I did the unexpected and pre-ordered the CE for this as they are tying in DLC to the release.

Bah, I preordered the PS3 version, haven't bought the new PC yet nor have I bought an new office chair yet... amazon offered $10 gift card so what the heck.
I can always trade it on GZ if the port is that bad
Mark Darrah, the BioWare executive producer for Dragon Age: Origins, said the studio has a two-year plan for downloadable content for all versions of the game.
Speaking to The Game Reviews, Darrah said:
We have plans that stretch out for basically two years. And it's going to be everything from really small stuff like item packs up to larger quests that might last an hour or two up to even fully fledged expansion packs. Really it's a broad long term support plan for the game.
Darrah added that BioWare might release a toolset for PC modders, the only piece of content that wouldn't be supported by all versions. And while Darrah said "there certainly some issues with getting user generated content onto the consoles," it still is "something we would love to do. So we are exploring that right now."

JOYYYY!!! pre-ordered the 360 version for the free DLC and armor for mass effect. This may make me less likely to trade when I am done. All depends on how good the game is.
Pre-ordered the PC version a while back and just threw a 2gb GTX285 card in a couple weeks ago so I'm all set, looks like a really good game.
Being that I have all three options (PC,360,PS3), I will wait for reviews to see which one seems the best for this game. My first thought is on PC though but we'll see. In the end it's how well a console controller can handle such a game.

The PC is going to absolutely PWN the console versions, it won't even be close
Hopefully a demo will be available on both PC and console.
Console version gimped...confirmation #1
Dragon Age: Origins controls well on a PlayStation 3, BioWare proved to Kotaku yesterday — mouse and keyboard not required. But if you want the classic overhead view seen in this game's spiritual predecessor, then a mouse is a must.
I got a chance to try a PlayStation 3 build of Dragon Age yesterday at an EA showcase of its late 2008 and early 2009 games. The single-player party-based role-playing game controlled just fine with a PS3 Dualshock 3. I was using shoulder buttons to swap through my four on-screen party members. I was using face buttons to activate default and special attacks, and holding a trigger to give me access to three more. I was running with the left stick and swiveling the camera with right stick.
I was tilting the right stick back to get a different camera view and then... blocked.
Dragon Age: Origins is being billed by publisher EA and developer BioWare as a spiritual successor to the studio's beloved Baldur's Gate games. But the ability to back the camera out and up, to go from behind-the-back action-gaming perspective to top-down strategic-perspective has been dropped from the console versions of the game. A BioWare rep told me that players who will want to zoom out will need to do so via a mouse scroll wheel. Then they'll get that Baldur's Gate look.
On the console, as far as I could see, the view will be much closer and into the action. It fits the platform, but it's a difference consumers with options should note.
Dragon Age: Origins ships on Xbox 360 and PC on November 3. The PS3 version will be out later in the month.
This is the game that I have been waiting for since E3. Hopefully it will be what I expected Sacred 2 to be but wasnt. Although I still like that game it is very hard to read and can be confusing at times. The glitches, slowdowns, and voiceover work were also hideous and hopefully this title wont have any of those probems. I would love to see the Baulders Gate camera angles on the 360 version though.
Ah crap, that sucks the PS3 version will be later in the month.
