Do you absolutely have to be multiplayer for this game or is there a single player story?
There is a single player for this, however I did not play it. I tried to play the MP on the Wii with I-Weapon-X, but the lag made in unplayable.
I hope I'm not as disappointed by the Crystal Bearers game.

yeah, there was a good 2 second delay between any actions
You can play it alone and create up to three other characters to fight with you, but the AI is terrible and it becomes very frustrating. I ended up convincing my wife to use the DS version while I was on the Wii in the same room and there was no lag or other problems and it actually ended up being one of the funnest games we have played together this year (Now we are just waiting for New Super Mario Wii next month!).

if you were playing over the same network that could explain lack of lag
I beat the mess out of this game (twice!) without any other people. Once I went WiFi with somebody, but because I was on two crowns and he was, well, not, he kinda died. A Lot. Still I had a lot of fun with this game. Did anyone else get to level 99 before the end of the second playthrough? Cuz After that it's kinda like, spamming magic really really hard.
