PSP Download and Disc Based Games

Going forward, Sony will be releasing most (all?) of their PSP games simultaneously in disc (UMD) and download format. Sony recently announced that download codes will be sold in retail brick and mortar stores. What is the official policy going forward for requesting PSP games? Are we going to have separate listings for DL and Disc based versions?

DL is probably going to be hard to trade, but WiiWare and XBL stuff is on here, so long as it gets in the Muze database it may show up, but I'd doubt it'd be a big interest to making sure it's on the site, as you can't really get rid of it "used".

I doubt they are going to have seperate listings. Anytime you request a PSP game that was released as a UMD, you should expect to receive it as such.

So I suppose if you request a PSP game and you get a DL code that would be grounds for a negative? I'm just thinking about the rare (but perhaps likely situation) chance that someone will get a DL card as a gift and want to try and trade it in here at Goozex if they didn't want it.

true but......there are some psn and xbox live arcade games out there that can be gotten on disc format but also through code and there's no separate listing for those either

these are few and far between though; i know that the watchmen has a separate listing as well as warhawk

This really is the beginning of something new.  As mentioned elsewhere, I did the 'discussion review' of Gran Turismo with Matt at VGBlogger, and he got the UMD and I got the PSN version ... which was nice in terms of comparing load times, but the problem is he likes the game and I'd trade it away in a second.  But since I got the PSN version I'm stuck.

One thing for sure ... with the PSP Go the days of dropping $30 on a whim for IL-2 Sturmovik are gone!  (although I ended up enjoying it and my kids like it quite a bit!)

on the reverse side if you had a PSPgo and wanted to get a DL code but got a UMD you would be stuck also...

AGREED but then again we all know that there are user's out there that don't do this and we have all been victims of people not responding or ignoring pm's

If there are not seperate listings for a DL Code, then UMD should be the only thing allowed for trading, or else Goozex will be constantly dealing with problems with it.
