Many movies contain lines of dialog that would be considered inappropriate to broadcast. Instead of just bleeping, often different lines are recorded entirely, and often, these lines are hilarious.

Here's the TV edit of "the line" from Snakes on a plane.

Die Hard 2 was also another funny one. Bad movie, but hilarious dub job, they didn't even try to get someone who sounds like Bruce for his dubbed scenes

While not TV, I absolutely love the Garage, Inc. Metallica "So What" Wal-Mart disc edit. There's only about 1/8 of a song there...

The Die Hard 2 one is one of my favorites, but "Up yours, you steroid!" from Total Recall is pretty funny too.

Another good one is from a movie that's pretty obscure: "I was scared shirtless!" from Death Ship.

But I suppose people who still watch movies on network TV deserve what they get.

The Big Lebowski on TBS was amazing. There's a you tube video out there on the "F*** a stranger in the a** Larry" clip, which is well worth tracking down "Fight a stranger in the Alps; Fool a stranger in the Alps."

The editors also cut out huge chunks of the film, many of which were important for the actual plot.

Good time.

Also, growing up I had a copy of Ferris Beuller's day off that was taped off network TV. I watched it all the time and now it's strange to me to hear the genuine lines and not the dubbed lines.

my all time favorite is Half Baked on Comedy Central, the part where they are all giving their orders for munchies run

Dave Chapelle in the real version: "Get me a box of condoms and that one stuff....we used to eat it all the time back in the day.....oh yeah! P***y."

Comedy Central Version: "Get me a box of condoms and that one stuff....we used to eat it all the time back in the day....oh yeah! Puddin."

I lost it first time I heard that.

The Matrix had some good ones too.

Original: "How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone calle"

TV: "How about I give you the flipper, and you give me my phone call"

Original: "Jesus Christ, that thing's real?"

TV: "Jeepers Creepers, that thing's real?"

Ghostbusters:

"Our system was working fine until the protection grid was turned off by Wally Wick here!?"

"They caused an explosion!"

"Is this true?"

"Yes it's true, this man is some kind of rodent, I don't know which..."

Risky Business:

"Sometimes, Joel, you just have to say, What the Heck"

Major League had quite a few:

"You may run like Mayes, but you hit like $hit"

"You may run like Mayes, but you hit like his mother"

"F*** you Jobu, I do it myself"

"Forget you Jobu"

"Why don't you blow me ump?"

"You're missing a good game ump."

Great movie, though.
