I did a little research apparently they are bring to issue the Lanham Act,  which says that any offensive trademark can be revoked.

As a skins fan my whole life I now call them the skins. i think they should have a uni that depicts a man of multi colors. I'm not artist but I think the Skins could be really cool as it would represent all the different colors/races of the world.

Redskins IS Offensive. They should change it. Plus maybe it'll help them not suck

Wow you are an ass. obviously not worth arguing with you. I watch them because they are my favorite football team. Their name IS offensive. It's like calling someone the Atlanta Negros. I'll watch the team and I'm not crying over their name but it is offensive so I think it would be best to change it.

I didn't get the impression that ACS was offended himself, only acknowleging that the name was offensive.  Pretty big difference. 

That being said, didn't the Cleveland Indians have a similar situation in the last 10 years or so?  I thought that was one of the driving reasons behind the changing of their logo.  Their old logo was quite a bit worse than the Redskins logo though, from a PC point of view.

And, as a final point, GO SEAHAWKS!

If they do make them change it, I hope they change it something more current like the Washington Thieves or Washington Conmen.    They could use a flaming Constitution as the logo.
