Just a few things that I see on the boards that can easily be prevented. Most of this is for YOUR protection.
1. Anytime you mail something to someone, KEEP PROOF OF IT. Whether it's DC, receipts if your in canada (as detailed as possible. Ask the post office to do this) pictures at the post office with the package and the guys name on it and postage on it ready to go, doesn't matter. Keep as detailed a record as possible that you sent it.
2. Games and movies take 14 days to close, 21 days internationally. Leave feedback around 12 days or 19 days respectively. DO NOT wait until the VERY last minute or it might autoclose on you and that's harder to change than a negative feedback.
3. Negative feedback CAN be changed by the user if a game arrives a little late. I had one game take about 3.5 weeks to arrive in the states. A full week and a half longer than another game I sent at the EXACT same time. He gave negative, I disputed, that lasts a week, game arrived the next day, he changed it to positive. easy peasy.
4. Check every game/movie that arrives before giving feedback. This isn't just checking for scratches or cracks, it's also putting it into a dvd or game system and playing it for a 1/2 hour or more. If you have any doubt that it'll work later in a game (it's fairly scratched or some other reason to doubt it) There are programs listed in the forums (such as alcohol 120%) that can be used to check a disc.
5. New titles become available at midnight, and I do believe it's midnight central time zone, though I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
6. All titles, movies and games, belong to a ROVI database. If one isn't listed, it's not because of goozex, it's because of them.
Contact Rovi to submit a product to their database.

7. Goozex does not and will not deal with nes, snes, sega genesis, original gameboy games because the saves involve a battery that dies out and people could get a raw deal if they receive such a game and leave positive feedback. Also there's no telling when such a battery might go. Also I hear they aren't in the MUSE database either.
8. Trading consoles and accessories HAS been mentioned, but there's a lot of variables there. Lets say someone orders a full package and you don't put in batteries for the 360 controller. Well the original package comes with batteries so full package system should. Also matters of condition, and so on make it a headache to trade. Gametz deals with 1 on 1 trading things, as well as the older games.
9. If you have a problem with someone and want peoples opinions, NEVER post a persons username. It's bad form and not accepted on the forums.
10. If you leave negative feedback and it closes like that, you get your points and token back, and as well the game gets put on hold and you're back in your original place in line.
11. If YOU cancel a trade, you lose your place in line. if THEY cancel a trade, they lose THEIR place in line. Points are refunded automatically.
12. If a game works, and it arrives in the package described they get positive feedback. It doesn't matter how long it took to get there, it doesn't matter if the book is ripped, if there's a dent in the case, if it's covered in gamestop sticky glue, it's positive. Might be a +5, but still.
13. If you're sending out a game, YOU pay for shipping. Yes goozex says it costs you $1 per trade, so they neglected to mention shipping. If you're receiving a game, the SENDER pays shipping. If you CoD something, you are wrong.
I'm sure I missed something. but I'm also sure I got most of it. Have a good day and happy trading! I'd say put up my requests, but all my incoming trade slots are full. again. damn you gift cards.
and by damn you gift cards, I mean go on sale again.
Very nice post, akin to Kenny007's portable FAQ. If only we could sticky this.
I would add a couple points
14. If you have sent a game and are wondering how come I don't have my points yet even though I know the recipient got the game, be patient. Some users get busy or have lives and cannot test their game right away, or like to take a bit longer to test their games. If he/she still has not left feedback by the end of the 14 or 21 day period, you automatically get the highest positive feedback. Once your feedback score is over 20, you no longer have to wait for feedback to get your points and you are given the points as soon as you accept the trade.
15. If you get a bad trade and have to leave a negative, know that it can take up to 48 hours for Goozex to recredit your points/token.
16. Try to check the search function (and sort by newest) before creating a new post. There's a good chance someone has already created your topic and you can post/reply on that thread. Also when you are creating a post after you type in your title, look to your left. In the green bar, Goozex will find other threads that may be similar to the one that you are trying to create.

A very nice list indeed, with a few points I don't believe I've mentioned in my own Portable FAQ!

I say this should be a must read for new users. Maybe even make them take a test to make sure it was read.
Few things I want to point out.
First, it'd be great if you used the actual words/phrase instead of abbreviating (ex. DC and CoD). Even though it's clear to us who frequently trade, it may not be as clear to those new users starting out (I can't even figure out what CoD means.)
It's the MUZE, not MUSE, database. You mentioned it incorrectly twice, yet stated it correctly when giving the contact info.
It is midnight Central time. Apparently, that's how Goozex functions (though it's located in Maryland???).
As for Madhatter's addition, there's some grammar mistakes that are glaring there, nice if that was fixed.
Full package means disc, manual, and original case
NOT
"some people are anal about manuals, no one ever reads them anyway, screw it, I'm listing full package!"
:D
I spelled it wrong twice because it was my spelling, and got it right when I copy pasted.
CoD = Cash on Delivery
Very nice post. It's kinda sad that it has to be reminded because some don't bother reading through the FAQ for the simple stuff. Nonetheless, it's a good reminder for everyone. +1
please sticky!!!!!!!!!!!!!! somebody, anybody...
I always liked forums that took you straight to the rules and guide like this before you could post. That always weeds out a posts.

90% of the posts I reply to can be answered here. I'll revise it a little after work today too.
Even if they don't sticky it, I'll bump it like crazy. Muahahhahahha.
I'll help you bump it. Bump.
yup
I have stickied the thread. Feel free to edit, add to it or PM me with any additional needs you may have!
Great write up.
And yes, I too am dying for another gift card sale.
