This really gets my goat.
In the last couple of weeks I've had three people let the trades I've been matched with run out. The latest ended up really giving me the shaft, as there was a point price change during the waiting period. I was stuck having to invest another 50 points into the game, because I still wanted to get it. But believe it or not the 50 points is more of a secondary gripe, my main grip is the fact that I have to wait in line again because someone didn't accept the trade. Why is it optional for them to accept trades?
It irritates me cause most of my trades that I am requesting are 100 to 200 point games, and seems like I either get matched up with A) someone that hasn't sent or recieved a game since early 2008, or B) someone that is active, but doesn't seem to trade any 100 point games due to shipping costs. If we could get inactive accounts on hold and people took cheaper games off their list that they have no intent to trade, I'd be a happy bastard, but I don't see that happening any time soon.
So if i let a trade timeout with you i get a goat?!? Let the timeout begin.
There have been many threads like this already. It's probably more constructive if you read those other threads first, then contribute to the ongoing discussion there.
Yeah, it's really annoying.
And I think this new 36 hour timeout window is just going to make the problem worse. The reason people aren't accepting trades isn't because they aren't seeing them. It's because they didn't want to send that game to you.
what annoyed me recently was being matched for the Nightmare on elm street boxset and timing out twice from the same person...who just happens to be in Cali so i figure it would cost too much to send it all the way to NY...annoying

Well if they don't want to send they can easily decline the request. But no they decide to let it run out.
It just happened to me as well. First person was 0 feedback, new person and the 26 hr limit went by. Then I got matched up a second time, and another 26 hours went by. Finally got a response on the 3rd. They should get warned or something and if they keep doing that 3 times, they should get point deduction or a ban if 0 feedback. It's really annoying. They could have just declined or not even put the game in as available for trade. It wastes everybody's times.

That's a little extreme. Users who let the game timeout multiple times get removed from the queue. Unfortunately, there is nothing stopping them from adding it to the queue again. Perhaps a 7 or 14 day ban should be placed on the game so they can't add it to the queue, but they'll still be able to add and request other games.

if goozex gets too into punishment people will stop using it in general imo. its a fine balance.
Well, this is the 2nd time it's happened in 2.5 months and 2nd time in 3 games. Isn't this too extreme?!?!?! I'm THE ONE who will stop using it if this keeps happening. Argh...

Want to know a good way to not have to worry about this? Dont stalk your Goozex requests list. You wont notice when you get matched with users that let it time out. Once you get the email from Goozex you will know that you are going to get the game. Patience is a virtue on this site.
I've wanted Demon's Souls for a long time so when I see myself at 3, then 2, ofcourse I'm going to keep checking. If I have a game and ship it out as soon as I get matched, I don't see why others don't respond promptly either but instead have to make up fake accounts to push you off the queue. It's just not very friendly to use cheap tricks like that. That's all I'm saying.
that response is ridiculous. there should be no patience for idiots,at least for how many changes over the couple years they have already made...make better rules.....not everyone on here has k's of pts.
