with the addition of movies now I think the limit really should be increased since they aren't considered separate from games in the space they take up

Or a smaller on hold just makes people trade less. When my on hold limit is reached, I get annoyed and end up stop adding stuff from my library or to my wants.
So trades I might have made if the points price was right, now I'll never make. Less overall tokens for goozex. It's way easier to move something from on hold to active then from nothing at all to wants/haves.

i was already at my hold limit without the movies. it needs to increase to atleast 150 preferably 200.

at first i was all for this;
now I understand the wisdom of goozex in not increasing it. lower hold limit = better.
makes you remove the fluff from your hold list, and also helps people move up the queue faster.
also, the search function still works even though movies have been added.
goozex already stated that they would NOT be increasing the hold limit for the time being.

That's not how it works, if someone has a request on hold, the person behind them will get it first. There is this idea that place in line means something, it means nothing if others are on hold.
If you are number 101 on the list, and the 100 people in front of you are on hold, you get the game first.

yes, it helps you move up the line faster because if that person really wants the game, then they have to keep it on active if they don't have space.

You have On Hold limits for each, so two seperate On Hold limits of 100.

No, if that person has the request on hold, or they did not have the request at all would have no effect on how fast you get the game.

One thing that has recently come to light for me concerning the somewhat cramped hold list on Goozex is the one account per household rule.
With Games and Movies cramped under one hold list, I'm unable to accomodate my wife's requests as well. While I'm primarily here for the games, she has now become interested in Goozex to get some movies she's always wanted. My well managed, game oriented account just isn't large enough for her to start adding movies willy nilly all over the place.
A larger hold section would do wonders for me in this case, as now Goozex appeals to more than just me in this household, yet my account will not grow any to facilitate any increased use by other household members here.

I agree with Hexpane. Your place in line means jack shit, it's just a number. I've been in the 70's and have been matched.
I don't think they need to double the on hold amount, but an increase would be nice.
Instead of increasing the base amount, why not just make the two lists seperate.
100 for movies, 100 for games (100 on each side for want/have).
