Hey Everyone,

I am currently working on compiling the most complete list of free video games out there. Here is a link of what I have so far. Check it out and let me know if you want to help with the project or have any thoughts or suggestions. Right now it is just a Knol on Google, but I am considering moving the project onto its own website.

Are you not even able to look at the list of games?

It says I am unable to look at the spreadsheet. Check you email as there will probably be verification there for you to confirm.

Ok you should have access. For now I guess I have to manually add people. I am going to rework it so that everyone can look at it without access.

I fixed it so that everyone can now read it with no problem, except now the page is really really long.

PC Game? Console Game? Web browser based game?

If you're just looking at standalone PC/Console games that are free, then that's pretty cool. But good luck compiling a list of every free webgame...

Rockstar offers GTA 1 and GTA 2 for free on its website, might want to add that.

I'd probably add some sort of rating system. It wouldn't have to be terribly in depth.. Just a simple "thumbs up" or "thumbs down." I doubt anyone is going to look at that entire list and find a specific game that might peak their interest.

Unfortunatly the Knol system would not allow such a thing. I do currently intend to move this to its own website eventually and that is something I could implement then.

Tribes 1 and Tribes 2 are both available for free from a variety of sources. It's not hosted officially, anymore, because the company sold the rights to the series to another company, but it is still available for free. There are many places to download it.

Sometime this year or next year Tribes 1 will be converted to not only a standalone game, but as a browser game as well. www.PlayTribes.com

Tribes is a First Person Shooter game supporting up to 32 players on a server. It is unique by its inclusion of jetpacks as the primary method of travel and fighting. It's the best old-school (Half-Life/Counterstrike) era multiplayer FPS I played (and still play)! Currently, it still has a very active community.

Don't know if you included Tribal Wars - it wouldn't let me scroll past the Trackmania game.
