Morrowind Game of the Year

So I have never played an Elder Scrolls game. I want to get Morrowind. Should I get the Game of the Year edition? Are the expansions worth the extra points? And what exactly is the Platinum Hits copy? Is it the same as the original or does it have additional content? I would aprreciate it if someone could enlighten me on this.

FALLOUT 3 would be my choice over oblivion,I cant say for morrowind,Ive never played it.

I would get the GOTY though,extra content is nice.

if you prefer fps and rpg post nuclear war time period then fallout. if you prefer medievel time period  with swords and magic then oblivion. in terms of value today oblivion has much more unique gameplay and alot of extra content. fallout does offer a new experience to turn based strategy lovers considering fallout's roots. if you dont have alot of points to spend get the oblivion GOTY edition.

Morrowind-get the goty  version - the extra content they added is enormous and adds alot of extra gameplay. Oblivion is better because the graphics are much better and Morrowinds are very dated but with this game if it gets its hooks into you then it will probably be a loooooooong time before you move onto something else. In terms of gameplay compared to Oblivion this game has many more options, quests, and character customization but as I mentioned the graphics are a little outdated.

it looked like the graphics were better in the goty . but still an older generation. amazingly huge amount of content though , everyone i know that loved the game spent well over 100 hours on that game

I don't mind dated graphics! That's not a huge deal. But I don't have a 360, so no Oblivion or Fallout for me. I do intend to buy one soon though. A lot of content is good, I like something that has a lot to offer.

Oh, sorry, didn't see that you didn't have a 360.  Definatly go with GOTY Edition.

GOTY fixes a bunch of bugs with the original.  GOTY also has TRIBUNAL expansion, which IMO is better than oblivion or morrowind vanilla.

no 360 BC tho :(

Just make sure you actually get the GOTY. It seems some users on here really struggle differentiating between the GOTY and the Platinum Hits version.
