Ok, so I'm in a small dilemma with a game I'm trying to sell. (Pokemon Ruby version, GBA) back when I originally got it I never thought to keep the box, so I put my offer up as a disc only. (As did 4 other people who are also trying to sell this game)

When I look at the people (8 of them) who want to purchase this game they all are requesting a full package, so my 2 questions are: Will Goozex ever match them up with any of the disc onlys since there are no full package's available? If not, should I list mine as full package and then explain to the person that I'm matched with that it's a disc only and hope for the best?

Advice would be appreciated.

If the requests and offers stay the way they are, then no, you guys wont be matched up.  They want everything and you guys dont have it.

I've yet to deal with GBA games, but I'm pretty sure the box is integral to the FP listing, moreso than might be suggested with other platforms, so you'll need it to go to FP.  If you just place your game as FP anyways, you're really just ignoring the condition system and that's a form of abuse and generally frowned upon.

Conversely, those people all asking for FP may be asking for too much, as I'm sure many GBA  game owners do not keep their boxes, so these requesters might find themselves waiting a long time, or, more likely, switch down to D.O. requests in order to get the game they want faster.

you must list it as disc only or disc and manual if you have that as well. It will eventually be requested but it may take a while.

If you requested a game full package and it came missing the manual or box then Im pretty sure that you would not be happy. Some people sell their games on ebay or retrade them either here or somewhere else when they are through with them and if it comes missing something then it is harder to get rid of which is why games not listed as full package take longer to get rid of. This site is based on fairness of waiting in line for your turn and if you tried to list it as full package and offer it up with no box then you are cutting in line the 4 other users in front of you who also have the game with no box/manual and are listing it as disc only.

I think you will find that it will be requested as disc only very quickly. Smile

You've got to list it as disc only, maybe those guys will switch theyre gbas to disc only sometime.I did the same with my gameboy games, the boxes always got thrown away.

When I bought gameboy games new, the cart went in a box and the manual went in an index card box.  The cardboard box went into the garbage.  When I request one off Goozex, it depends on the game.  With Final Fantasy Tactics, I requested disk+manual.  All my others requests, mostly actioners and stuff for the kids, I went Disk Only.

One time through Goozex, someone sent me the full package on a GBA game.  Out of habit, I threw away the cardboard packaging.

Maybe the ones requesting Full Package are hoping for a brand new copy of the game.

No. That's just setting your self up for a neutral. never list games as more than you really have. If you only have the cart, it's disc only.

And no, goozex will never match you up for less than you requested.

Pokemon Ruby will definitly get snapped up even at disc only within a couple weeks. It's one of the few GBA games that retains solid value.

And please never purposely list a game wrongly, because it reaaly ruins the point of Goozex. How would you like it if someone did that to you.

Thanks everyone for your opinions. Just to clarify, I didn't mean that I would accept the match and then tell themit was a disc only. I would send them a message before I even accepted the match. But I understand your concerns and have definitely decided against that course of action. My thought was that normally people have a default setting for full package, and from what I've seen with most of your replies is that alot of you don't keep the full package. So I guess I figured people would rather be matched up for a disc only then never get matched at all. But anyway I see your points and I'll be patient. :) Thanks again!
