I just found out today, despite it being relatively old news (beginning of May), that LIFE on NBC wont be coming back for a 3rd season, which is sad.  I know at least one other member here knows what it is, forgot who mentioned it.

Anyways, it's yet another show that I adored, in my mind hadn't gotten stale yet, and was given the boot.  Some other honorable mentions that have really irked me are Boston Legal, the 4400, Arrested Development, and a few others that hooked me with a few episodes but then bailed; so quickly that I can't recall the name!

Anything booted that's got you in a bind?  I don't watch a lot of TV as it is, so when I lose something, I die a little inside.  Rumor has it 24 is gone after next season, and while I can understand why, I still may need life support afterwards.  I've been watching that since the start!

Pushing Daisies' cancelation was the one that really chapped my ass.

Ah crap, I forgot that one.  I was watching it religiously until the strike came about.  When the strike finally lifted, I had forgotten about the show, so when it reaired, I didn't take notice.  I've been meaning to catch back up on that show, as I love Sock.

That strike ruined a lot of good shows.

I heard something about a 24 movie being in the works. Straight from the best page for rumors, Wikipedia! "

Executive Producer Howard Gordon says on the future-film, "My hope is to go [shoot the feature film] after the eighth season. That's sort of what we're aiming for. I think that a big-screen 24 will be a fitting send off for Jack."

It is now thought that a film would be made after the eighth season, and that filming could still take place outside of the USA, with London thought to be a possible location."

For me, part of what makes this show so good is the supsense each epsidoe ends with. I'm not sure how it would convert in to a movie format, but I would still see it regardless.

I read that too on the Wiki, and likewise, have the same concerns on how they'd fit the 24 theme into a 2-3 hr film.  Someone else here suggested it might play out like Redemption (I believe that's what it was called), the filler between the past two seasons.

I'd see it regardless.

Terminator's cancellation bothers me since I love that show, but Castle being renewed makes me very happy, as does the surprise renewel of Dollhouse.

I agree with you on the 4400- that show was excellent and will definitely be missed. Reaper is also an excellent show.Im still mad at HBO for when they cancelled Carnivale a few years ago and left it off on the last episode with a crazy cliffhanger that never got explained because it was gearing up for a season that never came. They also cancelled Rome and Deadwood right after that and have put out complete garbage since then with the exception of Flight of the Conchords.

I can think of shows that ended worse than 4400, yea it was sort of a cliff hanger, but it also works an ambiguous ending.

Invasion was canceled with a horrible cliffhanger ending and no resolution.

It's been a while since I saw the last episode of 4400, so I dont remember how it ended, but I was thoroughly enjoying the storyline.  It was a nice show to look forward to in an otherwise dead summer schedule, another show I didn't know anything about until my wife said "Watch it!" and another show that was cut off too early.

I heard Heroes is sort of like it (never seen it)?  Ordinary people with powers or some such.  I just liked what the 4400 was doing with it.
