As a new user, I haven't been around long enough to really know...  maybe some people who've been around longer can comment?

If looking for a less common GameCube title (for example, Dr Muto) is it worth waiting around to hope for a match on Goozex, or are the odds pretty slim?  There are a handful of GameCube titles that I want, but maybe it's better to just pursue them from other locations since Goozex seems to be primarily for current gen systems instead of older games.  What do you guys think?

Yes, games for the GCN are still traded here.  Take a look at a game's trading info/stats for a better approximation of a game's individual tradeability here.  Numbers are fun.

I looked around for bit, and eventually found where those stats are shown for each game.

The numbers only confirm what I was guessing.  Unless looking for mainstream titles there don't seem to be many trades happening.  I still don't know if that's because supply or demand has been lower over time, but either way it looks like Goozex won't be replacing eBay just yet (at least, not for older titles).

You can always get in line and then get a nice surprise one day. But yea if you want games now then Goozex isn't always the best place. However, I tend to get in line early so it works perfectly for me

The older gen stuff trades faster than you'd think. Most of my recived games are from older gen systems.

Yeah the "oh snap" surprise is the best.  I've had that happen to a few older games for me, I thought NO ONE was trading the game, then OH SNAP I get a new/sealed copy in the mail
