So does anyone here watch the show Deadliest Warrior? It's one of the few shows that I really enjoy, even if some of the results/scenarios annoy me to no end. Tonight's episode was neat, Mafia vs Yakuza, and the end result didn't really surprise me, but the last fight sequence just pissed me off. How can a trained martial expert using the sai lose a fight against a "street thug" with an ice pick? They could at have least has the mafia guy pull a shot gun or something, but an ice pick? Come on...
What do you guys think?
Wait so the Yakuza lost?
I've picked both the samurai v. viking battle and the apache v. gladiator battle right. If the yakuza lost i'd be sitting on 67% correct
I went to some racist website after the viking and samurai battle. It was funny seeing so many racist pissed off after the results
@criminolelawyer - yeah the Yakuza lost, but it was close (I think it was around 56% for the mafia). I also got the samurai vs viking and the apache vs gladiator right. I picked the knight to take out the pirate, but got that one wrong... I found it strange how during the tests the pirate couldn't penetrate the knights effectively armor (except for 1 weapon), yet had kills with all weapons.
@GUNNM - some of the reactions to the results are just hilarious. I think too many people forget that it's just a show and the computer program has lots of flaws.
Next Weeks episode is Green Beret vs Some sort of Russian Special Forces soldier.

Just got turned on to this show a couple of weeks ago - very fun to watch, but I wish they would explain a little more about the program they use to run the simulation. Pirates vs. Knights made me go 'huh?' after the weapon field tests demonstrated that most of the pirate's weapons were ineffective against the knight's armor. Stupid grenados...
I'm hoping they revisit the winners and have them square off with each other at some point.

I watched most of the samurai vs viking battle but I fell asleep towards the end. After that samurai sword slice that dummies headpiece clean off in a perfect slice they must have won right? When is this show on again-it was pretty neat the 2x I saw it by accident.

First episode I saw was Pirate vs Knight, and it annoyed mean. I kept thinking, wtf, surely they meant Pirate vs Ninja???

Holy Crap. Me too. Especially the Knight/Pirate one. That one really riled me up. Mafia/Yakuza didn't get me as mad as the other one.
