I emailed Goozex about this issue about a week and a half ago top the feedback@goozex.com email but never heard anything.
So a week and a half ago I was matched up with a relatively new user to receive a 1000 point game. He had only been a member for about 3 weeks at the time, but already had completed 15 trades. This seemed kind of weird. When I looked at his trades they were all rarely traded 100 point games to new users just getting their free game. Some of these rare 100 point games he traded multiple times. I emailed goosex about it but never heard anything. The day after I emailed Goozex, he cancelled the trade with me saying he couldn't find the game. No big deal, except when I looked at his trade cancellation history, he had 20+ cancellations. He had received close to 10 games from Goozex members. Its been a little over a week since he cancelled the trade with me and he now has 40+ cancellations. He has received nearly 20 games now. I'm willing to bet that he's sitting on a rather large point balance.
I won't post his user id here, but I wanted to bring this to the attention of the mods to see if something could be done. It really bothers me that someone is ripping off the Goozex community like this.
Email feedback@goozex.com again. The person is a definite scammer.

I know exactly who shadoz is talking about. I have also contacted feedback@goozex but those guys never seem to respond to these types of messages. Many strange things to report but nobody reliable to report to...oh well.

I've noticed this as well. I wonder if Goozex is considering hiring a couple of extra people to handle customer service issues? *hint*hint*

by "hiring"...do you mean, find this guy and "whack" him in front of his parents??? or something ....
Not really, although that'd be funny.
Maybe they could get some dudes to use the member search for a few hours a day and look for multiple accounts (The guy shadoz brought up has dozens of accounts). I know this site doesn't have deep pockets like M$ and can't strike down the Ban hammer like they do, but it would be great to see some new way to stop these Prox-suckers from slowing down the trades here.

I just hope that were all talking about the same guy. :(
I don't understand what the big deal is with posting someone username. Especially when there is OBVIOUS fraud going on. Who we going to hurt a scammer? Oh boo hoo.

I think its called "slander" or "libel"?? I forgot the legal term. If there not a scammer, then there rep has been hurt without ever doing anything wrong. It's not for us to decide who is a scammer or not, thats what we have the G-team for.
Thanks for the thread and in the future -- please feel free to PM me about any member trading concerns. I will be happy to look at what's going on.

Well, I'm not an attorney, or a post master, but I'm willing to bet that this kind of thing may fall into the category of mail fraud.
Internet fraud or wire fraud schemes may also qualify as mail fraud if the mails are being used at any point in the scheme, including a request that a money order be sent to pay for non-existent or undelivered auction merchandise. Many of these schemes are merely variants on the fraudulent mail-order scams in which the merchandise is never delivered as described or delivered at all.
The only thing I think may disqualify it is that we're deailing with goozex points, not actual money. However, the goozex points are a reflection of value, so who knows...

Isn't that what Chooch is for?
Yes, if it is a scammer, (right now it's just suspicions) that indeed is mail fraud, a federal offense. Pretty silly that some loser would risk federal prison time over a few stolen videogames.
But perhaps he found a glitch in the trade system and exposed it? I'm not really sure, but wouldn't he still have to "pay" the 1 trade credit per game? Haxxorz maybe? IDK
