Man.........I got greedy and killed the vampire guard at the front gate for all of his loot and I instantly failed the whole mission. Is there a way to get in good with the vampires again? I think I might have to start over.

I think.....think he is talking about the blood ties mission. If you kill that guard you are probably sol. I don't remember to much on that one, but I think thats the only way to get through it.

Yes, he needs to reload a save from before he kills the guard. You can not kill the guard before you speak to them.
yeah, it was blood ties. Crap, I guess I'll have to redo. I killed the guard after I talked to the family. I couldn't resist. That guy had alot of stuff.
