So i've been getting a constant stream of blu ray movies from netflix and switchplanet. I also got a roku box for christmas. I've cut almost all my tv watching except for TUF and 24 to allow for more movies.

Last night I saw the spiderwick chronicles. Great looking movie. Main kid is annoying and needs to die but overall I would say 3/5 stars. Some scenes really made good use of the cleaner visuals in blu ray tech.

The Spiderwick Chronicles

After that I finally finished up my instant watch of ninja scrolls. I've heard it was bloody but didn't find it over the top to other's I've seen. The whole storyline with everyone wanting to r*pe this one chick is kind of disturbing.I found this movie to be similar to Shinobi - Heart under blade. Both good movies.

Ninja Scroll and Akira where the first two animes I saw.  I love those flicks.

I watched the Love Guru on bluray, and it was just okay for me.  I guess if you like watching Mike Myers making funny faces and talking in a weird accent, then it's pretty funny.  The one-liners are decent...

I watched Manhattan on IW.  I'm just not a big Woody Allen fan.  Perhaps I'm too young to understand his comedy, but they're just not interesting (although I did like match points...black comedies FTW!!)

Finally, I'm getting the first season of Lost through NF.  It's neat, but seriously?  WTF is going on?  There's some weird monster AND polar bears AND a crazy serial killer AND a creepy hatch...How much more sci-fi nonsense can this show cram into one hour chunks?

I last watched Pineapple Express, thought it was terrible. Watched about 3/4 of it before stopping the movie.

I also saw Wanted recently and thought if was fantastic, wasn't expecting that.

Lost season 1 was the only season I liked. I stopped watching after season 2. I thought they jumped the shark at that point.

When I saw lost on HD I was like "this is how tv should be". I wonder how the blu ray is.

Lost is the best show on tv. Period. Season 2 was not as good as 1, but 3 and 4 were awesome, some of the best tv you will ever see.

That's like people telling me Heroes is the best since sliced bread and Mad Men is fantastico. Production value aside, they are okay.

I get more enjoyment watching from Gs to Gents or Diner's Drive Thoughs and Dives. Maybe in my advanced age I can't retain info so I need quick hitting stimulus

my wife keeps telling me this yet I still fall asleep on the couch or rather be watching a comedy. I think that's it. These shows aren't funny. Give me dave chappelle any day. No knock against those shows. Production value is very high.

I'll come in while my wife is watching and they flashbacks + the lack of knowing what happened in past seasons just doesn't do it for me. I'm  lazy. but I do like how Lost does the pop of video stuff to catch people up

Yeah I think it would be impossible to start watching now not knowing what's already happened.  That's the one downside to these serial dramas is that when you get behind you can't just pick up wherever.

I have been watching my Moonlighting DVD collection lately. the Atomic Shakespeare episode remains one of the best television episodes ever.

I want Netflix so bad. It would easily cut my game playing in 1/2 though.

*Edit: To more accurately address the topic, I did not see a movie last night because I didn't have one to watch.

My son hogs the watch now.  Dang suite life of zack and cody!!!!  I last saw Wanted and only thought it was alright.

I stopped watching lost after they started pressing a dumb button for a whole episode.  Stopped watching Heroes in season 2 when my DVR died with episodes 4-10 on it.  Have not had the urge to go back.  Same thing happened to Battle star.  I will probably finish that one though!

My last theater movie was Marley and Me.  It was better than I thought it would be.

Again Lost got better after Season 2 when they blew up (imploded?) the building with the stupid button.

The last movie I saw was Sunshine.  I thought it was amazing until it turned into a weird slasher flick at the end.  Either way it's recommended, and makes me want to see Slumdog Millionaire that much more (same director).
