Hi. I've been a member of this site for a few months, and I just went through an odd situation. It is as follows:
I was requesting Elite Beat Agents for the DS and was matched up. Things seemed to go well, but I wasn't getting the game. A week before being allowed to leave negative feedback I wrote to the seller asking if the game was shipped (since there was no shipping confirmation). He answered me with the fact that the game was not shipped due to confusion with another user cancelling a trade. He asked if I still wanted the game.
Now, the game was one I was trying to get for someone for X-mas. If I was sticking around, then sure it would have the time to arrive, but I have to leave relatively soon (spending the holidays out of town), thus making it pointless to get the game if it was shipped now, as at best it would take a good week and a half to arrive (with postal delays and such). However, the option to cancel the trade is no longer available. Do I have any other way of cancelling a trade?
You can no longer cancel the trade on your own. you could try to email feedback@goozex.com and see if they will cancel. But if the seller has shipped the game already, you will have to leave negative feedback and then have it reversed when / if the game arrives.

Wait, so did you accept the trade?
I didn't leave feedback yet. Time's running short though. The trade was accepted by the seller back in late november. I already PM'ed him about the fact that I would rather find a way to cancel the trade than him choosing to send it now (namely, 5 days before the trade closes automatically), but I did not hear back from him yet.

Well, between giving him 3 games for 10$ each or paying 30$ and only giving him one of the 3...(when I know the guy; he's not that picky; he just wants it to work).
Still, that's besides the point. Anyone have an answer for my original question?
Thank you for answering. The seller, from what I gather, has not shipped the game already, hence why I was thinking of cancelling. I'll keep this post updated as to how the situation gets resolved. Thanks again.
