Is it just me or is 26 hours to respond a little too quick before you get skipped over in line? Im all for not having to wait on people that dont respond but that seems a little too quick. Not everyone checks their email every day.

I got an offer for one of my games last week and checked my email Sat or Sunday and found I was skipped over. No big deal, I was out and didnt check it...my fault. So I put it back in active state and will check back later. Check my email late today (monday night) and find I got skipped over again and now im in the back of the line. Angry

2-3 days seems much more reasonable.

It used to be that you had twice as long to respond... and believe me, the number of people who used to complain that the wait was too long is astronomically higher than the number who now complain that it's too short.  In fact, you may be the first person I've seen with this problem Tongue Tied

Yeah, I personally think the 26 hours is too long. You obviously need to check your e-mail more often, as any extension to the current time would cause people to hold up my trade credit/points even longer if they dont intend to trade.  Bad idea.  The system isn't broken here, you just need to stay up on your e-mails.

I've had games that have timed out 2 or 3 times before I got a match that was willing to ship.  Waiting twice as long to get through the bum sellers would be rough.

I'll have to agree with the others in saying 26 hours is plenty of time.
Think of your email account like it's a goldfish - do the bare minimum of checking it once a day around the same time.

There has been once in 2+ years where I didn't check my email for an entire weekend and missed a match ... but it is a real rarity.  As said, just pop in once a day and see.

Thats the problem you can check your email everyday and still miss the time frame.

ex. You check your email at noon offer comes in 1pm. The next day you check afternoon guess what, it's past time. You've still checked your email every day but its too late.

People work and are limited to when they can check emails.

If you think about it extending the time even slightly maybe to 36-48 hrs would probably help get you the game faster. instead of people missing the window and then getting pushed out another day you could have had the offer accepted if you just waited a few more hours.

They once had two 26 hour periods per match.  I personally thought it was a pain to have things (points and credits) tied up for 52 hours, I hope they keep it with one 26 hour period per match.

I've personally found I'm able to get matched a lot quicker with a trader who is interested in actually trading their game under the new system.

I completely understand what you are saying, but have to tell you that your assumption is incorrect for the way that the site operates.  The balance of those who chafe at waiting so long greatly outnumbers those who need just a few more hours.  Too many of those who don't make it in 26 hours weren't making it in 52 hours either.

I always hop on goozex multiple times a day whether it is to post on the forums or to check if any games I listed have been requested..it only takes a couple seconds and ensures I don't get skipped over but I remember getting very annoyed in the past when a trader didn't accept the game the first time...I got rematched with them...and they again didn't accept the trade. 26 hours seems good to me.

My problem is usually weekends. Weekdays I'm usually on Goozex multiple times a day, or at least on email all the time during the week so I get all my announcements, responses, etc. However, on the weekends I tend to be very busy and trying to catch up on all the stuff I missed during the week (family time, work around the house, football season in the fall) so I don't follow email as much. I actually did get matched once for a game on a Sunday, saw the notice in my inbox (only because I need to keep my smartphone available at all times for work) and figured "Hey, I've got a day to confirm so I'll just wait until Monday." Got burned on that one, but that's really my fault and not the system's.

I wouldn't recommend increasing the hold time. I've waited what seems like multiple days for a match when I'm on the receiving end, so I'd be against making the time longer.

I think 26 hours is perfect. As an active trader who uses other sites as well, I can't stand waiting 3 days for someone to accept/reject my trade. It would be good, though, if Goozex gave you a grace "no response" and put you back at (or near) the top of the queue the first time to give you another chance before bumping you to the back of the line.

If the trade times out, you do not lose your place in the queue, the game is simply put on hold in your library.  I think it is more than fair that if you reject a trade you get placed at the end of the queue.  That's the beauty of the automated system.
