As announced when the new Goozex 2.0 was released, we have worked day and night to complete the upgrade of the forum to the new Goozex 2.0 style. We are happy to announce that the new Goozex Forums are now online.
Beside an hard-to-miss restyling of the interface, there are several new features that come with the new forum. First of all, the new "My Forum Home" page gives you a quick overview on what's going on in the forums, and what your friends are doing.
The new "Conversations" area replaces the old forum private messages, and now allows multi-party private discussions: you can invite more people to join a discussion, at any time.
The "Navigation bar" on the left side adapts to the page you are viewing. In particular, the "My Discussions" and "Active" categories adapt to the particular forum/subforum your are viewing.
The new Goozex 2.0 upgrade is not finished yet: while we roll-out the upgrade and introduce new features, please feel free to let us know if you encounter any problem. We have tested the new forums extensively.... but you never know...
We are also working at a few new features that will allow all users to better communicate with each other and share activities in groups. The new features will be released asap.
Enjoy!
Have to say, it looks nice, but the links to the indiviidual forums themselves don't seem... prominent enough. I like that active discussions in on the first page you visit when you pop open the forums, though.
EDIT: After looking through, everything looks very very odd for a forum. A lot of things don't seem to be where you'd expect them to be or the areas where they're placed is odd if you're used to other forums. I'm still a tad confused, but it looks like it's much more powerful in terms of features.
I like it. It's different, but I like it.
I love the update! Kudos on your hard work.
AHH eye-gasm!!! It looks great and I love that the "How It Works" button carried over to the forums.
I'm also not a big fan of this new forum. It doesn't feel as inviting as the other one. The small links just grouped together just feels like a bunch of links. Not a nice big social forum.
Smaller and sleeker, flows with the site redesign. I will have to get used to it.

I agree, it will take some getting used to. Good job guys.
Edit:
I do like the layout of my forum profile. What is this section for uploaded files? I don't recall that being in Forums 1.0.
Im soooo confused!

The one thing I would ask for is a 'mark forums read' button. *every* other site I go to has one, and knowing that there are 1400 posts I haven't read doesn't help. I'd like to be able to mark all read and then just browse unread posts starting from that time forward.

badges back to vertical, eh?

Takes some getting used to, but I like the much cleaner interface overall.
Looks cleaner. Now I just have to find everything again.
Goozcast and Top buyers/sellers badges is my fault. I'll get those up today or tomorrow.
Btw, we are taking in all feedback about Forums 2.0. Our goal is to make the whole Goozex experience more streamlined. In addition, we are going to be implementing more powerful tools associated with Forum 2.0 -- some visible, others behind the scenes. We'll be asking for user feedback on one particular new feature: groups.
Forums 2.0 is still a work-in-progress and we welcome all feedback and suggestions!
